I've recently been hitting irons without much offset and have had to change my swing up a bit. I've tried keeping my left arm in line with the shaft and ahead of the ball, and I know I have lower body stability issues, but let me know anything you see that I need to be working on. I would very much appreciate it. I also have thick skin so don't hold back. :)

Would recommend you check out this thread.

Few things I see:

- Stance is too narrow.

- Hands are too far forward at address.

- Hips slide back instead of turning and that makes it hard for you to get the weight forward enough on the downswing.

Thank you very much. I will practice those tips and make another video once I feel like I have them down. The hands are really far forward because I'm learning to hit irons with any offset and I guess I'm over compensating.

If you turn your right hip back(behind you, not away from your target) and up in your backswing it may help you make a more centered turn.  You should lose flex in your right leg and feel your weight on the inside of your right foot.  These things should help you from sliding off the ball.

Hopefully I'm better tomorrow

I've been working on my swing since my last video post. I've started straightening my back (right) leg on the back swing which does help but I think I've been rotating my hips too quickly because now I slightly top it more often than I chunk it and hit behind the ball. On my good shots the divot starts where the ball was, I'm hitting the ball first usually but hitting the ground too soon afterwards. I took 4 videos at the range, one for short irons, mid irons, long irons, and a 3 wood, but it was packed with golfers and I couldn't get very good camera angles so I apologize for that. I also am having to post this on my phone so I don't know how to embed the video so if a mod could help me with that I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks guys, this frustrating game is getting less frustrating everyday since I've been frequenting this forum. My typical ball flight starts slightly left of the target and fades back, especially with longer clubs not so much with short irons. I've gotten the fade under control and I can account for it but I'd like to be able to get them straight so I don't lose as much distance. Forgot to include this in original post sorry.

Hi Dan, please don't start new threads when posting updated swings, keep everything in your swing thread, thanks.

With your swing I would make sure the hips are staying centered and check out this video. Your right elbow slides behind you and that causes you some problems on the downswing.

I see what you mean now about my elbow. Thanks for fixing and combining my threads and the video. I'll post again in another few weeks. If I'm understanding this right, this problem of my elbow tucking behind my shirt seam is caused by my elbows being too far apart on the back/down swing? Thanks.

The clubhead loads low and in and that pulls the right elbow behind you. You can see how this doesn't allow you to load the shaft "up" so it goes "shallow to steep".

So I would work on the following:

- Don't worry about straightening the right leg, you've over done it, it's too straight at A3.

- Hinging the club "up" more on the takeaway.

- And doing some practice with a tee under that right arm pit.

Would also like to see a face on view.

Also check this out, better camera angles only help.

Thanks again. I'll try to hit the range when it's less crowded so I can use the lane in front of me to film head on. Thanks for the tips I'll get working on practicing them in the mean time.
