I usually do just was just focused on a lot of other things in this lesson!

Just a little first week of summer update!

This week was my first real week of summer and I got 4 rounds in and plenty of buckets of balls hit this week. Also a little bit of short game work but haven't been paying much attention to it, need to work on my putting more and my chipping a bit in the coming weeks.

Monday-89- Home course played half from the tips and half from the blues so played at around 6750 at around a 72

Tuesday-86- Played the first hole from the blues then the next 17 from the tips, 6900 73.2/133

Thursday-85- Played a course that I play usually once or twice a week because of my friend, played a combination of blues and blacks so probably around 6800 72/130 or so

Today-95- A course I have never played before, 6900, 135/73.4

I really got my driver down this week and I started taking like really in depth stats which helps me kind of focus on my weaknesses. I learned a lot about my game this week and I really hope I can play like I did yesterday all the time. I hit 6 greens on the front nine and I only got up and down once and I 3 putted once so I shot a 40-45 and the back should of been probably a 42 or 43 but I got tired at the end and hit an awful 7 iron on the 17th par 3 which insured me a double. On the 16th I had to take an unplayable after my drive too which did not help my score!

Today the course was a very different course then what I am used to playing and the length kind of hurt me because my driver was just not what it was earlier in the week. I kept a driver average on Tuesday and I averaged around 280 or so off the tee but today it was probably around 240 and I hit very few fairways. Was hitting a slice rather then my little fade but o well. I didn't triple any holes on Thursday but today I had 2 and no birdies today compared to 1 on each of the other three days. My putting also suffered today, had 38 putting strokes because of how quick the greens were after playing slower greens yesterday.

Overall a good week and hoping to just keep improving throughout the summer!

Average stats from the first 3 days this week

GIR: ~7

Fairways: 6, I just don't hit many fairways and I usually average 1-2 hazards or ob's per round but my driver is greatly improving.

Putts: 33, really need to improve on this and hope to get this below 30 by the end of the summer. Going to get fitted for a putter in the next 2 weeks

Things to improve on: Long irons, driver accuracy, putting

Things that were good this week: Short/Mid irons were money and my wedge game was very strong, 3 wood off the deck was pretty good this week too, had 2 legit opportunities for eagles after 230+ yard 3 wood off the decks!

Nice. Sounds like you are nearly there and should shoot 80 or lower sometime this summer.

Keep working on the diver to reduce the wild swings and OB / Lost % - that costs you much more than the Fwy%. A long-term average around 45% to 55% should work fine. With your avg distance clubbing down on holes with lots of trouble may be helpful and focusing on a smoother swing rather than extra distance. You hit it plenty long to score low already.
