Do you see any obvious swingflaws or powerleaks?

Swingplane, shoulderturn etc?

My distance w the driver could fluctuate over 50 yds from week to week.

Driver...trying here to get a bit more left-chest-shoulder connection:

Looks pretty good, and must be if your a 4.

Try to keep your weight centered in the middle of your feet throughout the swing. This will help you stay in balance. If you look at your 9-iron down the line, in your backswing your head moves toward the ball. If you don't move back in the downswing, you will lose balance and fall towards the ball, which looks what happened in one of your driver swings. This should help with consistency. Unfortunately, it's not an easy fix. Keep using video.

- too much sliding (feel as though you maintain your knee flex in your back leg on the way back)
- bad balance (caused by bad setup, nothing you can really do about this except be more careful during your pre-shot routine)
- footwork is sloppy (notice how your both your left/right knee's both change knee flex in your driver swing?)
- swing plane seems a little steep (can't really tell though since you don't have a videos directly behind you)
- just swing the club (looks like you went for a little more hand/arm action during your first driver swing, second swing looks more synchronised)

    • Day 91 (1  Aug 25) - Pre-tournament practice round today…had some great up and downs for par saves.  Rain came in this evening so it will be a totally different playing course tomorrow.
    • Jesus, when he keeps saying scissoring moment, ugh that is a horrible sounding phrase. Just makes me cringe. It doesn't help my mind went to Mr. Garrison from South Park. 🤣 If you know you know.  I think for the most part, golf shaft companies have gotten this figured out. They ask questions like, what tempo do you swing at. The whole scissor terminology sounds like they want to stand out a bit.  Yea, golfers load the golf shaft differently, and different bend profiles can help out. I do think swing speed matters as well. You probably want a golf shaft with lower torque if you swing faster.
    • Played 9 holes, shot a 39.  Kind of got around. Everything between the trees, so in play. Short game was rusty. Got to get back on that. Greens were stupidly slow because they got a lot of rain yesterday and probably couldn't cut them down. Usually in the summer they are firm and pretty fast for how sloped they are. Got to work on face to path a bit.
    • We agree here. Top of the car has a forward force, bottom of the car experiences a backward force via the braking. Both about the COM (somewhere in between). Result is a rotational flip. Since the forward force is still higher the car probably still globally travels forward. Sure, pretty basic. You really think there are deliberate twist forces applied? Like forcing the club head forward and simultaneously forcing grip end in the opposite direction? Heck I don't think we even slow down the grip end deliberately let alone force it the other way. Sorry, if I am missing something here. The orientation change is simple incidental because there is different rate of global movement of grip vs. clubhead throughout the swing. I also happen to think the best swings have the least amount of differential movement between the two end in the impact zone.  In my defense, I never thought one could do justice in covering all aspects of a golf swing in a paragraphs or two to begin with. Especially not with grade school physics..😜 Okay.
    • Wow, @DeadMan that is such a helpful breakdown of what’s around. Really excited to check a bunch of these out. Thank you. Will definitely go to Walnut Creek. Will also try and get a commonground tee time. Haven’t played many Doak courses yet! If your schedule frees up, let me know!
