So woke up today to an elbow that was both sore and enlarged. Texted a Kineisiology friend who said I likely got Popeye Elbow. Anyone else ever deal with this before?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olecranon_bursitis

Quote:

Bursitis normally develops as a result either of a single injury to the elbow (e.g., a hard blow to the tip of the elbow), or perhaps more commonly due to repeated minor injuries, such as repeated leaning on the point of the elbow on a hard surface. The chance of developing bursitis is higher if one's job or hobby involves a repetitive movement (e.g., tennis, golf, or even repetitive computer work involving leaning on one's elbow).

I think I may have had that a few months ago. My right elbow was extremely sore but not enlarged. I attributed it to my constantly leaning on my elbow on my office chair while using my mouse. I built up a padding system on the chair and slowly the pain went away. Wish they were all that easy to diagnose and get rid of.

Yeah with mine, I'm a RH golfer, who leans on his left elbow at work sometimes, and the left is the one with the Popeye effect. With it being attributed to sudden impacts (I play hockey), resting on the left elbow at work(which I do), or playing repetitive sports like golf, I kinda wonder what led to it, or was it a combination.

I mostly posting to see if anyone has ever had it, and known it solely came from golfing and how they dealt with it.
