hi guys

This is kind of a masked 'WTB' - seems forum noobs like me are not allowed to post in the market - but it's a wedge question.  I played a loaner-set of these Inazone Spin Vokey clones on Hi Rev FST shafts recently, loved them, decided 'Imma make me a set the same'.

Not so fast there bucko...discontinued.

Diamond Tour has leftover LH in all lofts, but only 52/60 (no 56) in Raw in RH. No joy there.

Saved search on ebay hasn't yielded much so far - couple of guys with beat up 56s, nothing in good condition.

Emailed a bunch of googled shops and generally had no replies or 'oh yeah, I should pull that product off my page' type replies. Still no joy.

So, in the hope that some of you guys are club makers with some old inventory on the shelves, or hobbyists from the project they never got around to doing, does anyone have a set of these (or even a raw 56 and I will buy the others direct from DTG)? In an ideal world, I'd get the oil soak color, but beggars can't be choosers I guess.

Alternately, are either of the replacement models from DTG similar to the departed?  Anyone played them? Thoughts or feedback?

Thanks in advance

Matt

You might look at some of the current-production component heads, and find a model with a similar look. You might start with Hireko Golf.

Or, you could always get the Inazone 52 and 60 heads and two HiRevs, and pick up a used Vokey 56* with a Hi-Rev shaft.

HiRev shafts will cost about $30 each. Also, be aware that HiRevs are taper tip only (0.355" tip).

Focus, connect and follow through!

Yeah, the forged Dynacrafts from Hireko are what I am likely to end up with, but thought a roll of this dice would be worthwhile before I pull the trigger on those.

Incidentally KBS Hi Revs are around $30, the FST only about $6 though.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
