I'm just wondering, but what is the difference between Royal Precision Project X Flighted, Royal Precision Project X, and Royal Precision Rifle shafts? Pros? Cons? Thanks in advance!

If you go to the thread entitled,"Ok Mizuno people: Help me out.", you should be able to get your answer.

When Erik started the thread, he was asking about how different shafts reacted with the MP-67(?) head. So, in order to answer that, they had to delve into the different shafts and their unique characteristics.

There's a ton of information in there about PXF, PX, Rifle and TT Dynamic Gold. It may take a little while to sort through the posts, but it's very educational.

Hope this helps,
DT

This definately does help, thank you very much, I will check that out and I hope it helps me. I am probably getting new irons for my birthday, or christmas (12 days apart) and then at the end of December I'm going to Maui and while there I'm gunna get my clubs fitted and maybe get new shafts, and I want to go into the fitting informed. On another note while in Maui I will get to go to the Mercedes Benz Championship, and am extremely excited

Here's the thread "

OK Mizuno People " Here is one of my responses there.
The Flighted sets have exaggerated kick points for the 2-4 (little higher ball fight) and 8-P shafts (little lower ball flight). The middle irons are a 'standard' ball flight. Standard sets are all based off of the middle iron bend points. Project X - Stiffest butt section (Hence the very stiff feel). Stiffer tip than regular Rifles but not as much as DG. A little softer mid-section creating a high initial launch but a penetrating (low-spin) ball flight. Rifles - Softer butt section than PX and softer tip than PX and DG. Dynamic Gold - Softest butt section and stiffest in tip and midsection. Then have a lower initial launch than PX but have a little more spin. Within DG you have several options as well like S200, S300, S400 etc

    • Day 105: mirror work today. Focused on not looping my hands at the top of the swing. Straight down.
    • Still working on the backswing a bit. Hand still gets away from the body, out towards the ball, and at A2 the club wants to roll over and get flat at A3. It's just very difficult to shallow from that position like I want. Which makes my downswing work impossible.  Backswing I have been playing around with the left leg straightening to start the backswing. It's like, a slight shove of the hips right with the left leg. Then just keep the flex in the right knee as I turn into it. I kind of like it. I never had a good swing trigger. It helps keep my left knee extended.  Yea, definitely feeling the hand path is traveling down the feet line, and straight up. A little bit of wrist rotation, and a lot more hinge sooner in the right wrist and elbow. I am trying to get the feeling that the arm hinging up then is the cause for the right shoulder to retract to finish the backswing. Club feels much more vertical at A3. I am trying to have my wrist fully hinged by then.  Feel the club and arms stop at A3.5 (my A4). If my arm collapses late, then I turn into that and I am pretty much screwed. The club and arms kind of have a floaty feeling, where they are just suspended in air for a bit, then drop.  Downswing I have been trying to think of a good visual for this mentally. I like the idea of my hands taking a wide arc to my right pocket, or I am taking the back of the hosel and trying to hit the ground behind my right foot.    Left knee stuff, just sooner.
    • Day 78 - 2026-03-10 Backswing work at the net with foam balls, a few real ball swings.
