Did Cobra once have 1/4" increment irons?

This came to mind when reading over a thread about single-length shafts.

Several years back, did one of the golf OEMs come up with an iron set that only had 1/4" increments between iron shaft lengths? I can't remember if...

  • the 3i would have been shorter than 39" and the 9i somewhat longer than 36"; or...
  • the 9i was 36", and most of the shaft length reduction came out of the longer irons.

Also, I have no idea what the loft differences were between irons.

Was Cobra the one who did this? Can anyone remember? If so, any details?
