Hello,

Would anyone who knows to spot a fake Callaway iron please tell me. The model is Steelhead X-14. I bought a set from a reputable store second hand and I have hit them at the driving range, they are fantastic. I would like to be certain they are original. Thanks in advance.

i have only seen fake x-20s. the thing that jumps out is the logo and letters on the head of the club. the fake one is relatively flat and looks like decal, while the real one has a 3-d look and does not feel flat to the touch.

my x-14s are also from a 2nd hand shop so i wouldn't know if it originally came with serial numbers or not.

if you hit them great, but they are fake, would you still purchase them? they might make good back-up clubs.

Thanks for the replies. I had a look at my irons and the decals are 3D and the workmanship on the logos look good. I will post some pictures up later when I've got more time. My partner is sleeping at the moment and I don't want to wake her.
