Hey all, I recently bought some irons off my friend and they were bent to 2degrees flat. I hit them ok fire the first few months then suddenly I had a shanking issue (yes, the dreaded s word). I always had just standard setup, never was fitted before, but I think the 2 degree flat is really affecting my swing and results. 

Could the angle really affect a swing that much to where someone could be shanking?

I doubt it. Though nothing it out of the question. It would be best to post a video of your swing. I would bet it is your swing and not the equipment.
