Yes, I'm aware of gender reveal parties. Sometimes they've gotten that wrong, though, and the point I was clearly making is that they simply picked the most convenient time when you can know to a strong degree of certainty the sex/gender of the baby: at birth in response to the idea that the baby's gender is "known" at conception. No, it's not that. Particularly in light of this policy which has offended. They're not saying it's like Harry Potter with the sorting hat. "You, go to house male. Next. You are hereby assigned to house female." -

I've seen the Honma Beres Drivers before. They too are very expensive. But at least, in theory, you don't have to slide them through the grass and dirt to use them. This 3-wood costs more than my first car. I think I'd be afraid to hit balls off the grass with it. ... Nothing less off a mat. I'm sure these types of clubs are status symbols, but if it were me, I'd keep my status symbols limited to putters and possibly drivers, nothing that I'm going to smack into the dirt, grass or muck. -

That's exactly my point. Gender isn't "assigned at birth". It's determined at conception. Even if a person's gender is an outlier. It's still determined at conception. We are so worried about offending anyone that we have to phrase things in often very ridiculous ways. I get it, we have to check a box when somebody is born. But it still sounds funny and makes me laugh. "Assigned at Birth" makes it sound like you are being issued a rental car. 🤣 I agree with you. The hormone's are an unfair advantage. Not only that, but also the Q-angles, and pelvis construction are huge advantages for males. Males don't have a birth canal ruining the physics on how their muscles pull on their bones and joints. The male shoulder is set up for greater strength efficiency than a woman's. All the hormones in the world won't change the angles built into the male skeleton. 👍 -

It shouldn't. There are a few people who do have gender dysphoria. Sometimes our genes do not line up across the board. Just like autistic people cannot choose to be autistic, gender dysphoric people cannot choose that they were born with the set of genes they were born with. The LPGA is a sports entertainment industry. For better or worse, the image they want to show, can have a big impact on their product. This isn't like some manufacturing plant in the middle of nowhere Ohio that can get away with allowing their employees to run the "good old boys" way of doing things and not have many repercussions for it. I think people are getting too worked up with the wording here. Gender at birth means gender you were born with. knowing or not knowing doesn't change that. To nitpick based on knowing or not knowing is just a waste of time. As for the article, I am 100% good with it. My stance is since puberty for men basically is just introducing a growth hormone, then it gives them a huge competitive advantage over women if allowed to participate in the same sport. Even then, just being biologically male has competitive advantages in muscle makeup, like amount of muscle in certain areas (upper body strength) compared to women. A leading fitness expert who trains professional athletes gave recommendations for general fitness for women and men. Women, he excluded the pull up, because it has not indication on the health of the female. They literally do not have the grip and upper body strength to do so.
