Getting Spouse Into Golf?

My girlfriend wanted to go to the driving range with me one day to try her hand at golf. For someone who had never touched a club before, she actually did quite well. We've gone to the range a couple times now, and she really enjoyed it, so I decided to buy her a cheap set of clubs so she can go golfing with me. we haven't played a round yet, as she has a very busy schedule, but we are looking forward to it. My buddies say I screwed up by getting her involved with golf. They say golf is an excuse to get away from her!! I guess I will see if they are right after our first round!!

Well, be careful spending too much time with her. Best have some away time. That having been said, congrats on getting her involved. Skip the cheap clubs. Get her fit for 2-3 good clubs and a putter she likes. No sense having clubs you're going to have to replace soon.
