I have a question concering the SFT (Straight Flight Technology) in my G30 driver.  When I first purchased it, it really seemed to reduce the number of shots that severly sliced.

My question is, if over the last 18 months, I have gradually improved my swing and am now wondering if the SFT portion of my driver is causing an adverse affect on my hits.  I now only have a slight fade with my fairways and hybrids and hit my irons straight.  But now my fairway percentange with my driver is less than 40%.  Was in the high 50's after I purchased this driver new.

Any thoughts on this philosophy?  Much appreciated.

Do you have a consistent driver miss pattern? Are you hooking it or pulling it?

I seem to consistantly miss to the right.  But if I aim left to compensate for it, the ball flies dead straight to the left.  Conversely If I aim a little farther right, it goes way right.  I know the mind messes up more shots than the body ever will, but it is getting frustrating. For informational purposes, the chart only has 4 rounds of information on it.  I have only had my Game Golf Live for 2 weeks.

Just spent 30 minutes with a Ping fitter and I think he corrected my problem.  About a year ago I delofted my driver from 10 to 9 degrees.  He said that when you do that it slightly opens the face and therefore more of my shots will go right if I do not close the club face when addressing the ball.

We will see on Thursday morning if this actually improves my fairway accuracy or not.  It did improve in the digital driving bay at PGA Tour Store, but nothing simulated golf like it does on the course.

I have a 10.5* driver on which the face is set to open. I was tending to pull or hook the ball with my old driver, and the lower-torque shaft with the open face has pretty well cured it.

The fitter said I tend to close down the clubface on my followthrough, and that if I get a little less handsy I might start missing first-cut right. If that happens, he says I'll be ready to go from open face to square.

(My desired shot shape is a gentle draw.)
