I have the DryJoys but I haven't had a chance to wear them yet since I live in Illinois. These are my first ever pair of golf shoes since I'm just getting into golf.

It stinks to have a December Birthday and get golfing stuff

I like the look of the saddle shoes. I know kinda traditional. Can't stand the look of the tennis shoes. I am by no streatch a traditionalist when it comes to clubs however CB hybrid and 460 cc driver all the way lol so I guess I am a contradiction. If you wear the tennis shoes do you notice that big a diffrence when walking? I wear saddle and walk all the time, mabe I am missing out huh?

I just bought a pair of last year's model of the Footjoy Gel FusionII, white on white saddle, from TGW. They were offering them with shipping for about $106. Even though I had never bought anything from them, I pulled the trigger because I thought that price represented a good buy. I received them promptly, I 've worn them and I like them.

I have a two year old pair of Gel Fusion saddles and a four year old pair of Dryjoys. I prefer the Gel Fusions.

I have worn only FJ shoes... I began wearing Dryjoys in high school and thats the only FJ shoe I wore playing in college.

Since turning professional, I was lucky enough to become a FJ staff member. I will wear Classics and Classic Dry Premiere mostly. IMO the Dryjoy is the best all around shoe they offer.

Currently I have turned to Adidas 360 II and Powerband. The Powerband fit my feet like Adidas running shoes. They could be the most comfortable golf shoes I've worn...

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
