Be careful buying Ventus shafts online. The Ventus Velocore is a great shaft IMO. I've had 3. Currently have one in my FW. If it's not a Velocore it's not nearly the same shaft.  Here's an older but very interesting video:   

Ah, you like Ping, huh? The G20 was a great driver.  I don't know anything about the used market in South Africa. But The G20 can be had really reasonably out here and there seem to be a lot of them available. 

Day 1: 5/7/2025 Okay, I'm back from my golf trip. It was awesome but I didn't win the tournament so it's back to practicing.  I just got back from the range where I hit a small bucket. Just kind of feeling out ball flight and how the swing felt.  Tonight I have 9 holes of golf league. That should give me a chance to see where my game is. 

Greetings Central Ohio Golfers.  This is as late of notice as is possible. I normally wouldn't use the forum for this kind of thing. But I'm stuck.  I'm looking for a golfing sub for The Bent Tree Golf League tonight. I just got back into town. My partner in the league just got call out of town. Both the guys who usually sub for me are unavailable. If anyone wants to play and can get to Bent Tree G.C. tonight, Wednesday 5/7/25 for a 5:22 PM tee-time you can sub in and be my partner for 9 holes. It's already paid for. Just let me know you want to play and you can play.  First person to message me or respond to this thread is in.  By the way, if you can't make it tonight we are often looking for subs. So, if you'd like to be in consideration for being a sub at some future date. message me and I'll keep you on the list for future subbing requirements.  If you want to play tonight let me know. If you want to play in the future let me know. 

I am considering replacing my 2013 9.5 degree stiff shaft Cobra Ampcell S driver. I think my swing speed of mid 90's might benefit from a softer shaft and more loft. I do not want to spend a lot on a new club or even a top end used club like Ping G430. I know the right answer is get on a launch monitor and see what works for me. But, being in South Africa, there is a miniscule used club market and all I can find will have to be mailed from another town. I would be grateful for views on the following options that are cheap and I like the look of: Ping Rapture V2 10.5 degrees regular TFC 939 shaft, Ping Anser 9.5 degrees regular and Ping G20 10.5 degrees Alta 55g regular.
