  1. Something along the lines of that, except mine was probably that bad after 9 holes, never mind 18.
  2. I thought they helped the greens? Also they give you extra grip and I get more balance on my shots.
  3. I liked the Maxfli Fire, but it's not a ball that if I lost them I would immediately replace them the same.
  4. Those two are fantastic pieces of advice. I'm definately going to take them too. Congrats on smashing 90 though Gaz.
  5. Which of the Yes! putters do you think are the best? Pros and cons? I'm thinking of getting a Yes! putter since I love the feel of Yes! putters and this would really help.
  6. The only Adidas ClimaCool shirt that I think looks good, is the one Justin Rose has worn a few times, the orange and white one. The rest I'm not particually attracted to.
  7. LOL! Funny story. I haven't played with anyone who talks to themselves, but I have played with someone who picks up your markers, and he doesn't seem to get the idea of marking a ball, like one of my partners put down a £1 coin to mark his ball, and the guy picked it up, then on the next hole he did exactly the same!
  8. I was reading an article in the National Golfer magazine, and a lot of pro's have recommended the Zen Leaderboard as a training aid, have any of you used it and what do you think of it? Zen Leaderboard.
  9. That was said so simply it sounded funny. Yeah, when I'm playing in fog like Erik said, the distances definately seem a lot different.
  10. I have never tried the r7XD's but I tried the Ignite's and I decided they weren't for me, I just couldn't hit them as well as my Cobra's and it was between them two.
  11. Personally I find that the Nike Sumo2 is the only one that looks nice behind the ball, the rest I think look pretty awful. The Callaway FTi has gotten good reviews I've heard though.
  12. I only have Cobra clubs, but if anything, it's helped my game, as long as you like how it looks behind the ball, it's up to you, and I love Cobra's look.
  13. A random fat guy who shouts it every time Tiger steps onto a par 5.
  14. I tee mine up relatively low compared to most people. I read in Golf Monthly about Sergio Garcia, and he says tees are personally preference on the height, and he tees it up low too, because he feels it gives him more control with a low flight. I tried it higher and lower and I must say I prefer lower.
  15. I live in England so I don't know if this will be any use to anyone on this site, but I find American Golf great for clothes. Also, for stylish trousers and some shirt, Sub Seventy is amazing.
  16. 7 times out of 10 it's just in my back yard, I know it's not too great, but it's a lot better than nothing, but when I go for my lesson or go to the range, I will use a full basket of balls to chip with.
  17. What brand of golf clothing do you usually wear for your rounds? Do you wear it for comfort or style? Personally, I prefer Nike clothing to all others. They have such simple clothing, yet it looks great, and it's so comfortable.
  18. Our course lets 10 year olds play on their own if they like. But our only member at that age is perfectly fine and replaces divots and plays like any other member. I think as long as you know the rules you should be allowed to go out however you like. Obviously there will be the odd exceptions but if someone catches them then maybe someone should be done, but I haven't seen anything happen with the 10 year old, in fact, I've actually played quite a few rounds with him.
  19. I'm thinking of trading in my putter, but PGA Value guide I'm sure must be wrong. My Cobra Optica SL 02 is perfect condition, I just don't like it and PGA Value guide says it's about £30, when I bought it for £130 in January, I don't know the translation from $ to £. Have any of you seen how much these are going for pre-owned, traded one in, or have a guess of how much?
  20. I'm starting to learn a bit of electric guitar in my free time when I'm not golfing.
  21. I haven't got there yet but I would think 12 to 6 would be the hardest as it's going to be harder to play under a 12 handicap than a 24 handicap. Bogey every hole you play under 24, but much harder for 12.
  22. It's just a funny quote man, chill out.
  23. We have one of the new Ford Fiesta's, and since we don't drive much, it's a great car for us.
  24. Sorry if this sounds a bit noob-ish or whatever, but I've never heard that word before, so what does it mean?
