I have 2. They are first production models and they were $279. See if he still has any. they were 1 of 50 and 1 of 100. Tom is a really nice guy and will answer any questions personally. Try to get Scotty or Bob bettinardi to answer you let alone make you a custom putter. They would cost you easily $1000 - $3000

Anyone get their grip yet? I did get the balls today

I got mine today and tried to get some for my son but the offer is now over

I had an interesting experience this week with golf balls. I'm in Orlando with my family and have been playing Grande Pines. The wife and boys 14 and 15 have been losing balls at a rate that is hard to believe. I will add that the slope is 140 and it's easy to lose them. So they are pretty much out of balls and I'm not handing over the Platinums to be hit one time. We stop at a local syore and we pick up 36 Slazenger Black Ice balls for $25. As you can imagine there was some scoffing, much as you are right now, so to show them it's not always the ball I played with them as well yesterday and shot the best round in a while. It was pretty wet and they stuck so I can't really attest to the spin but I was very happy with the ball. Save some money and try some different balls my friends.

It could be worse. 1) you hit so many good shots that they expect it and never say nice shot. ho hum he's in the middle and yawn he's on the green. Must be boring to never have to go in the woods. 2) they say nice shot to you when you hit to 20 feet from the pin and then they get pissed when their shot is 10 feet from the pin isn't good enough. Like that's good for you but I'm so much better than you it should have gone in. just be gracious and move on

THAT'S A BEAUTY. Price is pretty good. make sur you use a head cover and the oil rag

In most cases a hole in one might be easier than eagles. how many times have you heard of the guy that got a hole in one by blading a shot off the rocks and rolls in or a screamer that the flag catchs and grops straight in? The hole in one is one lucky or skillful shot. An Eagle on the other hand is 2 or 3 good shots. I've seen one hole in one and made 6 eagles over 30 years. Anyway congrats on breaking 100 it will happen often now that you know you can do it.

I usually offer guys my clubs to try. If they love it I'll sell it. The guy was right in one of the earlier posts. How can you love something so much that will be out of your bag in 6 months anyway? This did back fire on me one time. This hack from my company shows up with Patty Burgs and a Jim Thome stance. I give him my TM quad (or whatever they where called when they first came out) I pull it out on the next hole and there is a dimple on top. Ofcourse he did it but doesn't know enough about golf to even know he did it. No good deed goes unpunished. That's 5 drivers ago and now it's in my brother in laws bag and he doesn't even notice it.

range balls suck
-
I've been trying really hard to like them but there seems to me to be too much bounce in them. maybe it's just me and coming from MP 33's but it's hard to make crisp contact and take the divot. must be a sweepers club.

Am I crazy for wanting to play blades?
sandtrap replied to QWKDTSN's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
make sure the shaft flex is what you should be using. I have Dynamic Gold in regular flex and the shaft felt better than the rifle shaft 5.5 on my MP 30 irons. If you are getting a set to practice with make sure you get the same shaft as what your other set is or weaker. I played the DG s300 forever. But in my MP33 I was fit for dg sl r400 and they are smooth. I find blades play better with a weaker shaft and not swinging so hard. -
If you are going to work with graphite shafts you NEED to buy a shaft extractor. Steel shafts are heat and twist. If you heat and twist graphite you have mush and the shaft is shot. the whole club making thing is way easier than most people think. It.s like any other hobby, It gets expensive and its fun if you have the gear and the space

Good at the driving range, crap on the course...
sandtrap replied to nico002's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Let me ask you this. Have you ever seem anyone real shot that looked as nice as his practice swing? I doubt it. The reason is the same as the driving range to the course. Because it doesn't matter. No pressure. The practice swing and the range ball, you don't have to go find it. You want to improve? Step up and hit the ball. Don't over think. Concentrate on where you want the ball to go. If you think lake it goes in the lake. Think green, 150 yard marker, bunker you can't reach. Play faster play better stop thinking about your elbow and your press. Remember if you shoot 100 and you take 2 practice swings on each shot you swung 300 times. I hate the range. I usually play my best golf after a really crappy warm up. You want to practice? go to the bunker or putt or chip. -
This may not matter but I don"t think you can use those in tournament play
-
I'm 6' 2" as well and I like my irons 1" long. Hit them and see you can always shorten them but I'll bet yo like them

How Much are your Balls Worth?
sandtrap replied to iacas's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
He lives in Canada, I just got back from Toronto, EVERYTHING costs more. Would you believe $24 for a 12 pack of Molson Canadian? Lots and lots of tax. God bless America! -
I'm with you. An addiction is one thing we've all got. Booze , GOLF, THE SAND TRAP

And the rest of your life too.

Oh I'd much prefer the AP2's but you can find a deal on the 1's. The 2's are $300 more and the way I change gear $1000 for irons is hard to wrap my head around. unless ofcourse someone out there wants to trade theirs for a ???????
-
I'm intrigued by them but they look too muck like the clunky Callaways. Since I'm sucking real bad now with the blades I might change it up. Any comments on the stix?

Where can i get my irons/wedges lengthened?
sandtrap replied to JYB's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
If you feel like tinkering you can do this yourself and there are a couple of options 1) strip the grips put in plugs then cut the plugs to length, regrip and then take to galaxy or Smith and have the lofts and lies adjusted for like $5 a club. 2) remove the grips, pull all of the shafts, spine them, if you have them all apart it's easy, then install the 8 iron shaft in the PW and so forth. Buy new matching shafts for the long irons. No plugs, relativly easy, You can do all of this in about 2 hours. You can get a spine finder on ebay for about $30. -
Nike one platinum vs black
sandtrap replied to walfice's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
That's not far fetched, doesn't Bridgestone make the Nike balls? -
Tiger either sold his soul to or is the devil? What he does is inhuman.

In the playoff today you could clearly see the Nike logo. What are you talking about?
