Poll: Tiger Woods Blowups, which is your favorite?
LargeMarge replied to LargeMarge's topic in Tour Talk
Actually we have more in common that what I originally thought. You have some lovely Canon gear (As do I) , and we have similar ideological beliefs about apple products and OSX. It looks like you deal in technology and so do I. Shame we don't see eye to eye on all things Golf. -LM -
Was great to see D.A. Points and Bill Murray win. Tears in his eyes I guess.... -LM

It just keeps getting better and better. Tiger Woods.. What a Shi+bird. -LM

Poll: Tiger Woods Blowups, which is your favorite?

You sure??? It sounds like Butt to me.... -LM -
Our Famous Mr Woods, in some of his more infamous moments. My personal favorite is the disappointed yet whiny "Tiii-gerrr... Butt..." Looking forward to more priceless moments this year. -LM

Well all you tiger fanboy circle jerkers, heres how he finished up: 71 66 72 75 284 Three average rounds and one flash of brilliance. Whoop de fuc_ing doo. As of this post hes tied with 8 other meidiocre souls for 20th place. So all of you who disagree about his continual steady decline from the top of this game and out of the starshine of greatness - you my friends, as Tiger would say, can "suck it." My Warmest Regards, -LargeMarge

You know what? Youre right, he has no obligation to the public to be faithful to his wife, however as one of the top 5 ambassadors of the game, he has a moral responsibility. -LM

He was a great player - and has god given talent. He had the opportunity to be the best and threw it away. Since he drug himself through the mud, He has no place next to names like Nicklaus, Hogan, and Jones. Now he has a headful of shame and regret and I for one hope he shanks every iron, slices every tee shot, and chili dips every wedge for years to come. God may giveth, and God may taketh away. Perhaps some of you have forgotten - this is supposed to be a gentlemens game. -LM

6 under 66 is a nice round, but i think its just a flash of brilliance. I doubt he'll be able to keep it up. Rorys going to tea-bag him. -LM

We'll see Deasy - the mind is an amazing thing when it comes to golf. If your heads not right, you wont play well, and mr woods is demonstrating that very thoroughly for all of us.

Its like reading a classic tragedy - watching the fall of Tiger. Guilt and shame are continuing to erode his ability to play the game to the level he was once capable of. I've got 10 bucks that says he loses his tour card within 5 years. See: http://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/20110210/NEWS/110219938?p=1&tc;=pg -LM

Is an injury or physical problem why Tiger is changing his swing
LargeMarge replied to neophytea's topic in Tour Talk
I think his ex wife gave him the Lorena Bobbit treatment. That would explain a lot. -LM -
I shot a giant woolly bear that was eatin my begonias. Here he is just before I bagged him. Look at that guilty grin!

When i was young and could actually score I used to play NCGA events in california and it used to be pretty bad - over a 4 round event some players (usually claiming about a 15 handicap) would post score 2-6 strokes less than their handicap during the course of a tournament. Occasionally those players would get penalty strokes and sometimes get their handicap index revoked. On events played in Oakland, CA they'd get their tires slashed in the parking lot. -LM

I played it once and I though it was really beautiful and challenging. I had an early tee time so the wind wasnt much of a factor until we hit the back 9. On most shots If you cant keep the ball within 20 yards of where you want to hit it, youre going to be up to your @ss in sand, knee high sea grass, or worse, water. The caddies were great. Bring your wallet full and leave with it empty. -LM

Burner, beyond fitting you correctly, clubs are not the answer. Play your cobras and be happy. Sell the Nike's and spend the proceeds on lessons from someone who actually can help you with your swing and or short game. PS: Dont just take lessons from anyone either. There lots of bad teaching out there too. -LM

I root against woods and mc carron. Woods mostly because I wonder what kind of scumbag goes out banging cheap looking Skags when they have a supermodel wife at home (and gets caught doing it - what a dumbass). McCarron because I think hes a real grade A P.O.S. for calling mickelson a cheater for using ping wedges. I thing McCarron was just a jealous SOB because he missed the Cut. He oughtta just shut his non-scoring, non shot-making stupid mouth. -LM

I had a dream last night that I was playing the Wailea gold course in maui. Everything was going great until I woke up and realized that I still had 2 months of being up to my @ss in snow to get through. Shi+... Being a california bay area native and therefore spoiled most of my life with having mostly playable golf weather all year long makes me miss home. Im fortunate in that I used to play a lot of Golf (for free!) until I got out of school and got myself a career. I'm 40 now (I cringe every time I say that) and still hit it pretty solid but cant chip and putt like I used to when I played 4 days a week. Still play in the mid 80's. I buy and sell clubs, and have a little club shop in the basement so I can do my own repairs, reshafting and loft/lie adjustments. In the bag: I still play the Irons my (very generous) dad bought me in high school - Ping eye 2 BE-CU irons with ZZ light shafts, 1-3-5 callaway warbirds with graphite shafts, Cleveland classics ta-588 copper wedges and a Tad Moore Maxfli TM-4 milled putter. I've fooled around a little with some of the new stuff out there, but dont think any of it is any better that whats in my bag. Some of the new drivers are freakin rediculous with the size of the clubheads. Anyways, Just new here so i thought I'd say hey to the whole place and comisurate with the rest of you who are snowed in. Cheers LM

Cleveland TA 588 P Iron set
LargeMarge replied to LargeMarge's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Sean, I ran out of rebar for the foundation of my cart shed Im pouring n the backyard so I had to use these and a couple of eye 2 bereyellium copper wedges that I had extras of. Otherwise Id send them to you straight away. ;) Cheerio, LM -
I'm guessing, but I'd bet that its awful hard for him, mentally, to play the way he has been playing (like an average pudknocker) after having been "Godlike" for such a long time. Hes got a ton of money, and since his divorce is final he can line up the girls all the way out the front door if he wants to, but I think he knows his best playing days are behind him. I expect him to have occasional flashes of brilliance, but he'll never be the legendary striker of the ball that he once was. I dont think Nicklaus has anything to worry about either. No way tiger will win 18 majors with that head full of garbage that he must have. -LM

A friend of mine recently gave me a set of Cleveland TA 588 P Irons 1 through SW. He told me that they were made in 1993 or 1994. They set up like blades with only a minimal amount of offset, but they are perimeter weighted. I havent hit them yet as we have 8 inches of snow on the ground, I know theyre old clubs but has anyone else out there played them in the past? Any feedback you can give? Thanks, -LM
