Well handicap is based of the best you can perform, not an overall average.

I'm not sure which of my shots i would consider the best for the week. I played yesterday and it didn't go to well because i haven't hit my clubs in 2 weeks till then. The 3rd hold at the course i was playing is a long par 4 about 460 downhill. My first tee shot pushed to the right and never came back like with the draw as most of my shots do. So i changed clubs to my 3 iron and teed up again. Hit this right down the middle. So i'm hitting 4 from about 160 out (the course was very hard and everything was rolling like crazy) so I pull my PW and hit the ball. The guys on the next tee start scream. My ball went in the cup. Sorta sucked it was for par. Two holes later, a short par 3 that always give me trouble because it falls in a gap between my SW and PW I was lucky. The tee's were up and the pin was all the way forwards. I hit my SW and stuck it about 3 feet from the pin and putt in for birdie.

With short putts your really have to be confident. Anything within 5 feet and i never really give the hole away unless there is severe break. As for speed, i try to putt the ball so that it will go 1 foot past the hole if i were to miss. No being Sally for me. The worst feeling is when you have a 5 foot birdie putt and you leave it a foot short.

I haven't really checked my grip since my 2nd season of golfing. Now 6 years later and i still use the same grip and i've been told its a pretty good grip. Any time i start to think about my grip or try to change it, I start to hit really bad shots. Grip is one thing I definitely do not think about when i go to swing.

I just ordered the wedges earlier this week. When i hit a friends set they felt great. My order says back ordered right now but i'm hoping that is just because my adjustments of 3 up and +1 1/2".

I never hit a water ball. Just pointless. Usually, on most courses, only a bad shot brings the water into play. Thats just my experience.

I do not know the name of my dream driver, but which ever of the drivers you listed gives me the ability to drive the ball the farthest and straightest i will take.

After golfing 6 times last week and not being able to go this week yet, i'm basically going through withdraw. Like golf is the only thing on my mind. I'm going to try to get out tomorrow weather permitting.

That might be worth the two hour drive. You will have to do a course review of it. Now i wish i was still at Edinboro University.

After i have picked my club, here is what i do: 1. Walk behind the ball to get my line. 2. Once I have my line i walk straight up to the ball on that line (usually 2 or 3 steps.) 3. Step to the left side of the ball and ground my club. 4. Take my grip. 5. Check my line. 6. Take a deep breath. 7. Swing

I have two Titleist Vokey wedges, a 56 and a 60 that i really like. I play them both well but they are standard length and need 1.5" added to them like the rest of my irons have. I've talked to 2 different golf pros about what to do. The one said get extensions put on and the other said reshaft them. Which would you guys suggest? Or would you even suggest just getting new clubs? I would probably just get a new 56 because i can live with out the 60 because i don't use it all that much.

Wow i'm not the only person that has this. I just got my new clubs 3 weeks ago and my first time out with them i had the hardest time hitting them. I had no clue why. I was so mad to think i just spend $750 on new clubs and i can't even hit them. I went out the day after and everything was completely fine. It was weird. My 3rd time out, i shot my low round on the year. So i'm guessing that their is this like new club syndrome the people getting. They are just so used to their old clubs that they don't want to give them up. I think its just a mental thing.

Everyone should get fit for clubs even if they get told after the fitting that off the rack is fine for them. Little things that you learn can really help your game. After getting fit for my clubs, i will get fit every time i want new clubs. It has worked out so well for me.

I just started to keep track of this 2 weeks ago but so far my average is ~34. Over the winter i've had some sort of crazy breakthrough for putting and i have no clue what it is, i'm not going to complain about it though because it is really helping me score well now.

I learned a lot about my swing today

somewhere in 6'4"-6'5". I've noticed a giant difference now and i'm glad i made sure to get fit and just not buy right off the racks. -

I just got a new set of Taylormade R7 irons and i was fit for them. I knew i was going to need fit since i'm so tall. Well I needed +1.5 inches and them turned up 3*. After playing 3 rounds i've seen a huge difference now. I just shot my low round of about 3 years, an 80 on a par 72. -
I tee up all my irons on the tee box until I get to a wedge.

Personally i use a modified baseball grip. I could never interlock my grip, it just feels too weird. I've never really tried the overlap. I've had plenty of good players tell me my grips is weird but has all the essentials needed of a good grip. I would say though, out of players i know, most use the interlocking grip.

Worst Round I believe it was a 120 and that was the first time I ever played. My 2nd round after that was a 110 and after that i've never shot above a 105. Best Round It was at Oakmont East (the club right next to and owned by Oakmont Country club) I shot a 76 during high school tryouts. The next day i shot a 96 and made the team by 1 shot over the next kid. Longest Drive About 360. I hit my drive in a straight path at a tree about 200 yards down and heard it hit something hard. We go looking for it and can't find it anywhere. So i drop and continue on. We drive up after hitting our 2nd shots, me after hitting my 3rd and find my ball just off the green. I know it didn't hit the cart path because that was on the opposite side of the fairway. My friends let me play that ball but is till got a bogey Longest Putt This isn't my longest but a long and good one. The green was a huge slant and i was like 35 feet away. I was putting across the slant so it was a huge curve and it went in somehow. we were all just in awe. Most Embarrassing Moment Actually happened this pasted Thursday. I was teeing off with my driver. My one friend was on the tee behind me watching my shot and the other was getting his club from the carts that were parked about 5 yards to the left of the tee box and about 1 yard in front. I heeled my shot horrible and it went just over my friends head that was getting his club. I mean about 2-3 inches over his head. He was just like wtf. Me and my friend were laughing so hard. What sucked is there was a stream running right there and i lost my ball and had to hit from the tee again. Funny Moments My friend hitting the ball washer about 20 feet ahead of him and it coming straight back and hitting him. "Remember when I hit the pin and eagled this hole" A friend who just sank his triple bogey putt on a par 5. "I need a hammer" Me talking about a the tee boxes of a course we were at.

Its like a 205 club for me

OK so I just recently updated my Irons. My old set was way to short so i got custom fit and they work great. With my new set I've put about 10 yards on every iron which has created 1 problem. The gap between my PW and SW is even bigger now. I hit my PW about 155 and my SW about 120, so i really need a GW/52 degree club. Also my Driver is about 10 years old. Its a King Cobra, i don't really know the specifics on it but it works well. The only problem is that it is not very forgiving like these new drivers. I don't really slice the ball but the head is so small on the driver and the sweet spot is not very large so i really have to swing perfect to get the ball out there. Also my putter is a 7 year old off brand club. My putting is fine but its time to update to a real putter. This putter really twists on even a slight off center put and i push the ball a lot because of it. So those are what i think i need. Any suggestions on what i should replace and the order it should go in?

What golf glove do you use?
Thrdroc replied to Cleveland Gunmetal's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I use what ever i find that fits well and is a decent price. I dont like paying more that $10 on a glove because i go through them often. I usually forget them in pants and they go through the wash -
I have tiger 06 and 07 for xbox 360. i've been playing them for year. I love the game.

Not 5 years but maybe as you said, they price themselves out of a profit. I know that if there is a salary cap put in place i would definitely start watching baseball again. All teams need a fair chance to compete.
