  1. Poulter continues to convince himself and no one else of his delusionary greatness. I think it is hilarious that a few from his part of the world try to justify his stupid acts.

    Formula 1?

Ferrari would not want a guy who has no concept of what team means. Alonso is a talented driver..he is also the numero uno whiner of Formula One. How many times has he openly blamed his teammate or his team for his bad results?. To be really great at F1, I think you need 1)driving talent 2) technical and communication skills 3) team-leading skills. Alonso comes a cropper in the third which is why he will never be in the same league as Michael or Ayrton. I hope Ferrari continues to stay clear of people like him.
  3. Why do you feel the need to play so fast? I guess I do everything like that. Fast metabolism . Part of it is that I cant wait to see the result of my shot. Mind you, I can hit them real good and work them both ways. If you saw me hitting my irons on the range, you would think that my handicap is much lower than what it actually is. What are you thinking about? Next shot only. I dont fret over my previous fat shot. I kind of know where you are going here. No. Not angry or frustrated. I am a happy golfer. Are you worried about the player in front / behind you? No Are you sweating when you get back in the cart? No. I never break out into a sweat golfing. Are you jogging to your ball? On days with a 90* rule, yes. and jog back to the cart too. cant wait to see my ball again then. Do you take any practice swings before hitting a ball? I do. One, sometimes two. To DavidFeherty...the reason I say unusual is that most of the time after my bad shot during a casual round, if i drop another ball and hit it, it is a good hit. It is not as if I tried to pull a rabbit..I knew the shot..now why cant i do it right the first time?.
  4. I have a 33" Ping, a 34" Odyssey DFX and a 35" John Daly. Finding the right putter for the day is a major exercise for me.
  5. I have a fairly unusual problem. I cant wait to hit my next shot. If the course is not backed up, I usually finish a round in about 2:45 riding. This week I played a round in 2:30. Mind you, I am not trying to do this. I am trying to slow down but it happens despite me losing two three balls in a round too. Even on a backed up golf course, it seems like it is always my partner's turn to play or we are waiting on the group in front. I am very sure that it is affecting my score. And I seem to gather speed as I approach the hole too which is making me hit bad approaches, chips and putts. I do have a pre-shot routine. It is all a kind of blur. I am curious to hear from people who have overcome this. Thanks.
  6. 86 on Saturday, 92 on Sunday, 87 on Memorial day, 90 yesterday. I am making more pars than ever. Still making a few impulsive bad swings every now and then. But I am narrowing down my bad swing causes. I think they are 1) from the tee at par 4s over 420 yards. 2) everytime I try to reach a green with my three wood. 3) Long irons played without regard to the lie. Impulsive..just insufficient thought. 4) my fancy for my 60* wedge. I have resolved never to hit it from the fringe again.
  7. Almost holed out on a 140 yard par 3 island green. Easiest birdie I have ever made. That blind squirrel must be running around somewhere.

  9. Top Gear really is the gold standard. Sometimes, I think they are less appreciative of the newer stuff but then maybe that is true. The modern cars probably lack character.
  10. Carnitas burrito at Chipotle with rice, the medium salsa, sour cream. Wash it down with Miller Lite, snooze in front of the TV with the Golf Channel on for about two hours and I am ready for my next round of golf. Life's pretty hard.
  11. We knew we could get you to see the light. Just kidding. Mizunos are a work of art indeed.
  12. I am waiting for a time when I can afford it too. I think the ones protesting on this thread would like to try it too..just cant ante up. Good thread Erik.
  13. Seve like Gary Player is one of those guys who has lost his marbles and does not want to admit it. Europe will be beaten soundly this time. Tiger and Phil will finally impose their presence on the Ryder cup. Dont you worry..its coming.
  14. Holed out from 80 yards for birdie. I had one like that for eagle in May 2007 too.
  15. I like Golf Pride tour velvet the best. Also see if you like the decade multi compound ones. I dont..but some people swear by it.
  16. I think people spend too much time on the greens as it is. It would make golf slower.
  17. I think if you get two people who dont putt well on a similar line, it could become a defensive battle then. So No.
  18. Glad to see that golf has won you over again. Welcome back. It seems to me that you take your game too seriously. I would not set too high a target right now. Put the fun back in playing the game. The scores will come if you really enjoy your good shots. You will find yourself hitting good ones more often. Take it easy. Golf is an enjoyable pastime.
  19. Did you not see last year's Fedex cup playoffs?. Dude..you need to watch him play when he is playing well. Pretty damn good.
  20. I think you dont know his story then. He seems to have lost his driver again recently. Hope he gets it back together pretty quick. He is absolutely the best gent out there.
  21. I also did notice a few who actually improved their handicaps over the winter. Did the courses change their course and slope ratings in the winter or did they move to Arizona?. Dunno.
  22. I had a hybrid last year. I took it out this year since I am hitting my three wood five wood and 4 iron a lot better. So no hybrid now. Now is a keyword there.
  23. I actually switched to the Winn jumbo grip this week for my Ping Anser. I like it. Seems to help me keep my left wrist quiet. Made three par putts longer than six feet yesterday which is pretty good for me.
  24. Does anyone miss the spicy baconator as much as I do at lunchtime?. Wendy's should bring it back. I could drive miles for one. My fav burgers are the Red Robin Santa Fe burger and Fuddruckers original. Lets hear yours.
  25. Did you notice that guy yesterday yelling GITH and "yea baby! " at Kenny Perry after he hit one from under the trees.. That ball landed about 100 yards in front of the green. That was really funny even though Kenny would not have been amused given his troubles on the back nine.
