  1. The problem is it works for Mahan. He also said Foley has one swing philosophy for both of them and that can be a problem. I agree with Miller to an extent here, This is an unusual swing for Tiger compared to how hes played all his life. Also like Miller and Butch said, if he doesnt do good come monday at that laidback golf thing (whatever it is, I havent looked it up yet), then its time for him to be concerned and looking elsewhere especially with the few crazy bad shots he has a round. I agree with Butch and Miller here. Heck I would be able to implement a swing change pretty good after 8 months working full time as a pro and if it wasnt working by then, chances are its not best for your game, no matter how much geometry, science and facts you have.
  2. I have most of foleys teachings, I like some of foleys stuff. I just dont like the attitude where Foley thinks hes got all the answers. On the popups, I remember him hitting a popup towards the end of a round with a three wood after working with foley. I will look it up later.
  3. i see, Your swing looks pretty good. Only advice I would give is to use your skill as a feel player, which you look like you are. You look like you are starting to try to incorporate alot of technical stuff into your swing. Has your miss always been left?
  4. whats your typically miss with your current swing?
  5. I mean I would take his iron game, lol but yea its not good enough for him to win
  6. yea, his iron play hasnt been that good though especially compared to how good it was pre 09. He doesnt give himself enough close putts for birdie, most of the birdie putts he gets are like 20-30 footers so the iron play isnt that great. If it was, he would be shooting lower numbers even with his putting he wouldnt be missing too many inside 10 footers.
  7. yea, crazy. looks like he almost snapped his shaft on the ground after that shot. Heres the thing. I think Tigers swing was too different from Foleys swing for it to be a really good switch for him.
  8. he was with foley then **by the way, just looked up to the tv to watch Tigers tee shot. He just poppd up a three wood off the tee 170 yards barely making it to start of fairway!
  9. yea, people are saying its the worst tee shot theyve seen on tour for awhile. Mr. Geometry will probably tell him his geometry was off, hahah,
  10. yea I could of swore he had more. Some stats might be off on his site
  11. i dont think thats accurate. He hasnt had any this year, but in 2010 he had 4. Dont think he got all four at the 2010 masters
  12. Someone needs to slap Mr. Geometry (Foley). He is changing Tigers short game as well, yes thats right the guy with the best short game of all time. This is what Tiger said Foley told him From the article. I asked him why he would change the fundamentals of a short game that’s been the envy of his peers for years? Why go from the best in the world to a player essentially learning how to chip? “You want to have the same type of swing with the putter all the way up to the driver,” he explained. “It’s the same motion, just smaller, and the pitch shot is the same. “So the best way to change (the full swing) is actually to work on the short game.” Linked WITB TaylorMade R9 TP Motore F1 Cobra S9-1 Pro 3 wood X Nike Rescue 5 wood Scratch AR1 TD 4-PW Scratch 8620 SND 53 Scratch 8620 SND 56 Scratch 8620 SFU 60 Byron Morgan Mini solid copper TaylorMade TP Red Cobra Yes I wear them Left Hand Someone please smack Mr. Geometry,
  13. yea its not near the hole, which is different than what Tiger did I agree.
  14. Try to get your swing more on plane coming down, You probably have an over the top move slightly. Once you get that fixed, make sure the back of your left hand is flat to the target at impact. If you leave it too open your going to push or slice unless you have an extremely in to out swing which will result in a push draw, which I doubt you will have :). You have to use what works with your swing
  15. i read it too, walked with foley during practice round and was spraying many shots. Walked to 18 and sprayed one into the water, smiled and then did the same thing again, this time had a more serious face. Teed it up for third time and hits it into right ruff. His follow through and release is weird, definitly doesnt look like foleys other players.
  16. heres couples spitting on the green a few weeks ago, is he an animal too? http://yfrog.com/69x7gz
  17. there are those kinds of relationships all over, didnt you know?
  18. i like the ping bags the most nowadays too.
  19. have I seen 300-300+ drives in person, yes. Have I seen people new to golf hit 300 drives, no, unless they are really athletic and strong like a football player. Alot of new players or players that are kinda young think they are hitting their drives 300 yards when they are actually about 260 yards, a 260 yard drive looks really long to the high handicapper so thats why they think its 300
  20. yea, i dont think you need to worry about the taylormade versions being the same, they are. Even the tour pros with taylormade use the taylormade ones because they are
  21. Most made for's are kinda whippy, thats why alot of people dont care for them. Although, the made for titleist Ahina is a good shaft, I hit it and it was nice. Its a pretty stiff shaft and has low torque, although the real deal ahina coming out in april? has even lower torque. Most made fors have a higher torque and thats not good for the fast swinger, hence alot of people dont like them
  22. this is a good recommendation for the R11 but I liked the 910D3 better, talk about a quality driver. The 910's felt better at impact and have a great sound, the R11 sound is good but not as good. Heres the real kicker, the R11 TP's are 499.99!!!!!!, 910 D3's are 399.99 at 100.00 cheaper and you can get the real project X, RIP, etc without an upcharge. The non TP R11 at 399.99 is going to give you some stock 60 gram cheap blur
  23. to me you cant really compare weed to alcohol. You can have a beer and not feel hardly anything, you smoke one joint and your going to be pretty high. Even a couple puff off of a pipe and your going to be stoned, unless you have a strong tolerance built up but even in that case you are going to get pretty high. Being high and having one or two beers is totally different IMO. Most people grow up and stop using weed tho, more of a high school/ maybe college thing
  24. when they co engineer most of the time the clubmaker like callaway or titleist owns the design and everything about the shaft specs, performance etc. The shaft company will just make the shaft for them under those specs but they are different from say a real blueboard compared to a made for titleist blueboard and the shaft company gets to throw their name on it but use the words "made for ____".
  25. lol, i dont do drugs or anything but it doesnt deprive your brain of oxygen as a means to give you a buzz. It contains thc which gets you high from receptors in the brain. Did you learn that in the early days when they were trying to scare everyone from using marijuana saying it causes guys to rape girls and go on violent rages?
