  1. You know what. I bet that Player and all of the South Africans could give a hoot about what you think. They are not playing to entertain you but to compete. If you don't like their personality then too bad you Tiger ho.
  2. Since when does the "gentleman's game" involve over-the-top outbursts of emotion and vocabulary that is inappropriate for my sons ears (eg. Justin Leonard, Ryder Cup put; Tiger's mouth and hat throwing; Tiger's caddie breaking peoples cameras). Would Hogan, Snead, Nelson, Jones display this kind of "gentlemans game"? I think not. The gentleman part of this game is long gone. Oh yeah, forgot about that picture of the naked UCLA golf team being put in a prominent golf magazine, what "gentlemen"! Just when I though is was safe for my girls to read a golf magazine.
  3. I am really tired of participants gitting pissed at photographs being taking of them during their swing. Suck it up. All other sports have distractions that players must deal with. Wear some ear plugs when you swing if it bothers you. The excuse that it is quiet when they are swinging and the noise stands out is a lame excuse. Don't you think other sports have employed this technique during freethrows, penalty shots, etc.
  4. So I've heard that Sonartec has disappeared. Does anyone here know the juicy details? I have the GS Tour 3W and the Md hybrid and think they are great clubs. Would be sad if a company that made good products went down due to horrible personal.
  5. Holmes is going about it the right way. Speak softly but carry a BIG STICK. If anyone has a bit stick it is Holmes.
  6. NO it will not.
  7. Here is a tell tale sign. ACC/Big Ten challenge. ACC 8 wins, Big Ten 3 in 2007. On top of that the ACC has won the challenge every year since 1999.
  8. 8.5, with my swing it produces the best launch angle on a launch monitor.
  9. Scotty Circa62 No.2 (Red). After 3 months of trying everything out there, this is my lightsaber.
  10. I'm with SC and SU. It feels more natural with less manipulation. The best aid I've found to help me with this style is the putting arc. Not only does it provide you the feel of inside-to-square-to-inside but it provides you with an alignment at each stage to show where the face should be pointing.
  11. It all goes downhill once NG opens her mouth. Can you say eek. Taking off on the chest protector comment, when she gets those short skirts out it is like, "man where is here torso?" Girl needs to be balanced. She should stick to bikinis to help us all out.
  12. 1-The Bourne Trilogy: The movies were $%^&. Awsome books. 2-Other Ludlum (Bourne) are also great. 3-Lord of the Rings: At least they tried to follow the books. 4-The spy who came in from the cold: John LeClaire, excellet story with pathetic ending. 5-Naria Collection: All books are good but some are better than others. 6-Clinical Oncology: Ops sorry work slipped in. Tedious reading but accurate 7-Brown Bear, Brown Bear: my sons suggestion, great animal collection 8-Day after Tomorrow: Allan Folsom, freaky good book, ending was mind blowing. 9-The Alienist: Caleb Carr, psychological thriller that has psychokiller.
  13. Messed with one and did not like it at all. The stitching on the back was weird and I had questions regarding what happens when it gets damp (esp. when playing in the humid summers). Visually the stamping IMHO was not well though out.
  14. This is where it can get tricky. I suggest going to a fitter that has a launch monitor where you can hit the different shafts. Since the USGA is now allowing interchangable shaft systems they are starting to become more common. Doing this will help define which shaft you load better (for energy transfer) and which ones give you the best dynamic ball characteristics (launch angle, spin, etc.) Once you figure this out you can go crazy with options. Without direction and feedback you might not get the best for your swing and with the $$$ these days you want the best for you.
  15. How about that Dominque TWO-handed windmill off of the baseline. I'm sorry to MJ but that was a better dunk than the "all ready been done" freethrow line.
  16. I think mallets have gotten a lot of attention because of the addition information about alignment they provide (e.g. two-ball). Personally my eye has a hard time with all of that mass behind the ball so I'm a blade guy.
  17. I have purchased clubs from all three. Origionally when I was in grad school I relied more on ebay to get a good steal now and then that was affordable. Now with a real job I have gone for quality without the ?????????
  18. IMHO if you are hitting it fine then don't change. If you are going to adjust your posture as mentioned above that changes your lie angle adjusting the lie might be a possibility. If you have cast clubs having the angles adjusted could potentially be an issue. If you do shorten the clubs the swing weight will definately have to be adjusted. Truthfully static measurement are just a potential guide. Alot of players are no where near their sugested measurements. For example I found that having standard length clubs was just fine for me (6'4") and some pro's including Mr. Woods plays clubs UNDER standard length. IMHO dynamic measurements are alot more informative on the direction you should go. Good luck.
  19. It really is up to you and your preferences. Being scoring clubs I like to have the most control possible, therefore I have all 3 wedges the same length as my SW. For me the shorter length promotes consistency and accuracy. I had a 60deg that was +1/2 and it just didn't work for me. Like I said before it's all what is comfortable for you.
  20. SQ all the way. As mentioned longer shaft can be a real problem for the Burner. When I demo'd the Burner I had issues with it. I liked the face and sound off of the SQ alot better. Of course if you want a neutral setup TM sticks it too you by having to go the TP route (total bs).
  21. I agree with Reesh. Demo all day long and find out what you hit the best. Some of the pro don't even play all of their sponsors clubs (hidden by sponsors head cover of course). My new set is all over the board. I went with TM for driver, Sonartec for 3W/hybrid, Mizuno irons/wedges, and SC putter. Everything feels great and I don't look like a belong to a sponsor. Makes me wonder if someone is really getting the best clubs for themselves when they only carry one manufacturer in bag. ;) of course I would have the same grips on all of them (putter excluded)
  22. Has to be Joe Montana, best SB QB ever.
  23. Liked my R540 with speeder 757 shaft but wanted to move to a deeper faced driver. Ended up going with SuperQuad TP (mainly for the neutral setup) liking the sound and feel versus Titliest, Cobra, Callaway, and Mizuno.
  24. I am looking at going to Max Out Golf in So.Cal for a fitting. Has anyone been there. If so what was your experience like. Thanks.
