  1. Do you use a traditional wooden tee, a bristle tee or ? I like the plastic wedge tee. I used a bristle tee for a while just wanted a change.
  2. Three. I play very early so I find a lot of balls on Monday AM from the weekend warriors.
  3. I had similar experiences. Found one, liked it, bought more and for my modest abilities it's a very good ball. Usually you'll find Fuzz or Titleist in my bag. The Titleist's are found.
  4. Now that's hysterical!
  5. I think it would be fun to play from the Chamionship tees one round then the Ladies/Seniors the next time. Or alternate from hole to hole. Comment?
  6. 20 lbs but I'm trying to lighten it consrantly!
  7. A friend and I were visiting (not playing) TPC Sawgrass and we wandered in to the clubhouse and asked if we could take a cart out to see the course. The pro introduced us to a Storyteller (that's a Sawgrass marshall). He took us on a tour of the course and really knew his "story". A great time and much appreciated.
  8. I prefer running shoes but do play in golf shoes. How about you?
  9. I've got a Kokopelli bottle opener, club brush and carabiners on mine along with several bottle caps with golf company names or places I've been. I use them as zipper pulls since the tabs fell off.

    Golf travel

Several years ago I bought the larger Club Glove bag since we travel to see family. The larger CG bag allows for storage of more clothes, shoes etc. It's been a valuable piece of luggage. Best wishes for a great trip!
  11. Now that I'm retired and concerned for my health I walk almost all the time. I enjoy Mother Nature and the feeling of being connected. I'm more in tune with bunny rabbits, birds, coyotes, butterflys etc. I'm less interested in my score. As a result my handicap has dropped.
  12. I live in a very casual, laid-back town. I wear shorts and t-shirts around the house, grocery shopping etc. Yet I agree with McClellan. There's a time and place for everything. I dress appropriately for the occasion. It boils down to respect for others.
  13. In no particular order... The Colonial in Fort Worth Black Mesa NM University of New Mexico Course Mares Island CA Presidio CA Stonetree CA TPC Myrtle Beach NC Rivers Edge NC Cheraw State Park SC The Legacy NC Come to thinki of it most ANY course in the Pinehurst -Southern Pines area Finally, any Donald Ross course

  15. Cameron Newport 2.6...at least for the time being. Putting used to be the strongest part of my game now it's horrible. I tend to pull putts to the left so the current center-shafted one seems to help. Pray for me!
  16. Do you tend to wander around in the rough looking for "one-hit wonders"? I can't help myself. A normal day is 8 to 12. My best is 36, honest. Our 18th hole will give up 4 to 6, just off the fairway next to the lake. Three or four more in the lake next to shore. What's your record?
  17. One or two a round including OB, water, highway, neighbor's yard and the garbage truck!
  18. Over the past couple of years I've noticed more and more golfers are listening to radios on the golf course. They keep them in their golf cart. I'm NOT talking about ipods and earbuds but rather little radios that you can hear across the fairway and while you're putting. How do you feel about radios on the course?
  19. A friend and I ocassionally play a "4 Club Challenge". For me the key is getting "double duty" out of some clubs. I would like a driver but need a fairway wood. So the 3 Wood is my double-duty club. You must consider which clubs you have extra confidence in. And club selection is in part determined by the course you'll play. Finally the tee box you use will also dictate club selection. My 5 Club Fun Bag would be: 3 Wood 6 Iron 9 Iron SW Putter
  20. I play about twice a week and consistently shoot between 84 and 99! Been retired for 14 years. I like the enthusiasm you younger players bring to this wonderful game.
