Low and slow on your woods swing. I have had the same 4 wood 1999 (Steelhead Plus 4W). I tried one with a shalower face (Ping G10) but wasn't happy. Remeber before you change equipment, it's the indian not the arrow.

I’m a little skeptical that these aren’t water balls. I live on a golf course and ball hawk from the ponds but I won’t play a ball that has algae on it when I pluck it. I have noticed that especially with premium balls water will kill them fast. The reason for my pessimism it that about once a month I see a guy surface from the pond behind my house in scuba gear with a BIG mesh bag filed to the top with balls. Hell he can hardly lift it out of the water. And this is just one hole where you have to hit over water. I’m sure these balls have been soaking a while and he is not playing all of these balls! -
Its been a few years since I have been there but the Currituck Club was very nice but a little overpiced. There is a course a few miles inland called Goose Creek that is very affordable, pretty well maintained and forgiving.

PING - Tell Me About your Pings
BigDaddy replied to dblbgy17's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Agreed!!! Mine are much older than all of ya’ll’s I have used ISI BeCu irons with rifle 6.0 since 2001. They are starting to show grove wear but I haven’t noticed any difference in playability. I love them! I did cheat on them for a while and got some Titleist 690CB with 6.5….Nice clubs, very shinny! They were longer and lower, but not as good in my opinion. I went back to my Pings. I was glad I never sold my BeCu Pings. I also use a Ping G-10 driver and a B60 Isoforce2 putter (that I have had since 2001). I haven’t fallen in love with the wedges or fairway woods though. -
Slow down and shorten your backswing

I have found that I hit it better and more consistent without wearing a golf glove. Especially with my irons. Anyone experienced the same? It may be that my grip is looser, but not sure.

What Ball Do You Play??
BigDaddy replied to JoshuaVnyrd1817's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I live on a golf course so I haven't paid for balls in 8 years. My favorite is Callaway tour i(z) then pro v1x....I like the firmer feel. -
Diets don’t work…they are temporary and if you don’t change your lifestyle success will only be temporary. You must make a lifestyle change and stick with it. Some may think I’m crazy with what I’m about to say but I’m living proof. I made the change February 2010. I was 292lbs and my 40’s were tight my cholesterol was 237 and I was way out of shape. I’m 42, 6’1” and have a lot of body. Played college football at 265lbs but over 20 years I have see-sawed with my weight. This is what worked for me: Your body stores fat because it is the most efficient fuel for your body to burn. Fat doesn’t make you fat, insulin does! Turn your body into a fat burning machine which means ketogenic diet. I eat 40-50% of my calories from fat! Yes fat! I only eat animal fat, olive oil and what naturally occurs in nuts. I eat carbs but less than 100gr per day and that only comes from veggies, fruit and nuts. I do not eat any processed foods (bread, pasta, grains, hfcs, rice, potatoes etc…) I could go on and on about what I do and don’t eat, but it is best described as a caveman diet. Meat/nuts/eggs/veggies/fruit! I do not count calories, I eat when I’m hungry. Exercise: Move slowly a lot…walk! Lift heavy things: I lift very heavy once a week, dead-lifts pull ups etc.. Do not run long distances, I run sprints once a week. Chronic cardio (look it up) leads to a body imbalance. One year later I’m down from 292lbs to 239lbs with 11% body fat. I’ve gone from 40” waist to a 36” and my cholesterol went from 237 to 177. I have tons of stamina and as strong as I was when I was 20. Lifestyle!
