  2. I thought I had it rough. Good luck with the conditions, and welcome to the forum
  3. welcome. Live long and prosper !
  4. I got this. Unfortunately for me, my first round my my HS tryouts.
  5. congratulations on becoming the 8th member of TST to reach 1,000! I just recently reached the 500 mark myself.
  6. I wear one leg. the other one just kind of droops on the opposite side. very comfortable. not much 'ball protection'
  7. I believe this is true. Makes sense, in the least.
  8. Demo days- test out all the clubs you want, whatever. Fitting days- they will fit you for the right clubs. they expect a purchase, usually.
  9. I'm not sure if it is the milling, but I DO feel a difference between an inherited ray cook I previously used and my Scotty. Why else would I drop $300?
  10. This is funny. Tiger is so good, that when he finishes 2nd, people talk about throwing the game.
  11. Pro v1 has the lowest compression out of them all.
  12. I've tried both, and I found the yes to be more forgiving. odd.
  13. Yes, I do. However, If I lose a ball, I will sometimes pick up one I find near me if I am using a cart and don't have any on me. Funily enough, whenever It is important, I always find the top flites
  14. They are pretty much the same things, exept the new ones have a 'cut muscle'. also, mp-57 are more forgiving
  15. Tiger has a special version of the Nike One Platinum. It is basically the same ball, exept with a softer cover which spins way more, and is way more less durable. I don't know why you would ever want that, though. I would think the best thing, accuracy wise, would to be able to get the ball to just stop.
  16. I do not currently use one but have in the past. pros : great feel, distance control, quality steel, very good looking, good alignment aid, rolls true of the face. cons - very soft steel gets nicks and dings that glare and distract in the sun, won't help you in off center hits, glare is an issue, tends to jump of the clubface.. Although I listed more pros than cons, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. It has a great feel and touch, and It gives me the confidence to sink every putt. Its finesse is definately most apparent in the shorter putts, although performs admirably on lag putts. The GSS insert(I assume you are talking about the original red x) gives it simply amazing feel without taking from distance control. It mutes some vibrations, but you can still tell when you hit it; great click sound when compared to the mushy inserts of odyssey and ping. The ball does come fast off the clubface, and sometimes when I thinki leave putts short they actually go in. But thats probably because my last putter was just a straight steel type of deal. All in all, a great putter. The only reason I don't use it is because I like the anser style better. Luckily , there was one with the same insert ;).
  17. It's got nothing to do with the grip imho, its probably the grip pressure. try loosening up. Maybe use a 2nd glove for extra grip. I don't use a glove at all; and I don't get blisters(just callouses - one under every finger.)
  18. I do, but only in between shots.
  19. You know, its against the rules to change the screws mid round.
  20. Oh, okay. I used to be able to get the ball to stop with my CG10s, but ever since I used them to practice in the snow(bad idea- but I was just too anxious to play) , I can't do it anymore, unless I really strike it clean. What are the spin on chips like? I only got to try pitches and full shots.
  21. 5'5", 32.5" putter(I have a very upright stance).
  22. really? I thought that they were at tour-level loft. the PW is 47 degrees.
  23. hey, I say, as long as it isn't for big money, and you don't mind higher scores for the moment, use the least forgiving clubs you can. you're guaranteed to get better quicker, because, as is often posted here, you are 'forced' to learn to hit the sweet spot
