  1. I am thinking about regripping my chipper. Do you guys play with a normal grip or a putter grip on your chipper?
  2. Here are your options. Go to Home Depot or Lowes in the mailbox section. They are about $2 each. You might have to remove the reflector on the top, which is very easy. Your other option, if you are a sucker, is to go to www.TourAlign.com and pay $14 for the "Tour" model driveway marker. They are great training aides, if used properly.
  3. I recently dropped the 5 wood. I have a driver, 3 wood, 2 hybrid, 4 hybrid and irons the rest of the way up. Best set up for a 15 handicap, in my opinion. Hope that this helps.
  4. 'Here's What I Play' in Golf magazine is my favorite read each month. Driver I play the Cobra F-Speed in 10.5 degree loft with a stock, stiff shaft. I have a firefighter helmet headcover on the 1 stick. 16 degree Hybrid I use a 2007 Cobra Baffler 1/R hybrid with 16 degrees of loft with the stock, stiff shaft. This club is protected by a plush fire hydrant headcover. 20 degree Hybrid I put a 2008 Cobra Baffler 3/R hybrid with 20 degrees of loft with the stock, stiff shaft. Irons I play the 2008 Cobra S9 II irons (4-GW). These irons are 1" longer and 2 degrees upright. All have S300 shafts. Wedges I love my Cleveland RTG DSG wedges with the rust finish. I have a 54 degree and a 58 degree. Putter I love my Rife Two Bar Hybrid putter with a center shaft. Balls I play either the Titleist Pro V1 or the Titleist NXT Tour. Other Also, in my bag I carry the following: Nags Head Golf Links bag tag (my favorite course). International Association of Fire Fighters ball markers on my divot tool. Sky Caddie SG4.... Can't leave home without it. I have a big towel that was borrowed from Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA. I carry lots of navy blue tees. The most important 'other' in my bag are the numerous beer koozies. The beers must stay cold on the course!
  5. Have you tried www.LoudmouthGolf.com yet?
  6. So what did you end up getting?
  7. Without a doubt, the best wedges out there are the Cleveland CG12 RTG+ DSG Wedges. I got rid of my Titleist Vokey Spin milled in 56* and 60* and traded up for the 54* and 58* Clevelands. Do not buy another wedge without at least trying these wedges.
  8. See the posting that I made two days ago.... "The NEW 2008 Two Bar Hybrid Mallet CS (Center Shaft)" Oh, and by the way, these things are awesome. There are now several PGA Tour players that have put these in their bags. Guess what, Rife has yet to compensate them for playing them. Must be a reason that they are playing them. I have the center shafted Mallet Hybrid 2008 and it is sweet. Check em out.
  9. I personally love DryJoys by FootJoy. There is a reason that most of the pros wear this. I have the regular weight and the light weight rain gear. I get multiple uses a year and even goes to Ireland and Scotland with my old man when he travels. You can't go wrong with FootJoy.
  10. You really can't go wrong with the Golf Pride Multicompound. I use the midsize ones as I have large hands. You will not be disapointed.
  11. I think that what most new golfers do is try and "baby" the club in the example that you gave above. When you do this, you tend to slice the ball. Find one or two clubs that you are the most comfortable with and hit these. For me it is an 8 iron or my 19 degree hybrid. Try it.
  12. I think a broken jaw would be warrented. However on the golf course, I would think otherwise. As long as he knew that you knew he switched balls, I would have to keep giving him the evil eye. Make him worry a bit.
  13. I am a career Firefighter / Paramedic. It is a wonderful profession with lots and lots of benefits. One being, that I am only required to work 10 days a month (10 24-hr shifts). That leaves lots of time, usually week days, to hit the links. Not being a member of a private club, I try and stay off the very popular public courses on the weekends. 9AM tee time on a Tuesday? It really does not get much better than that.
