  1. Correct. It's an outside agency.
  2. No. That definitely doesn't count. I've played with recently inducted hall of famer Darrell Green. I rode with him in his cart and it was one of the most fun days I've had golfing in a while. He's a really down to earth guy and plays surprisingly well. And my "country club" is a junky muni.
  3. 9i from 139 to a front pin spot. Took dead aim and ended about 8 ft away. This is considering 9i goes approx 130. Missed the birdie...
  4. Chili Dipper, you should have stuck to your strategy no matter what. I just had out first day of HS tryouts and everyone but me hit driver on every hole. I hit 3W all day and was second in the group by 2 shots (but I should have one by one minus the triple on the 17th that should have been avoided by looking for my ball longer).
  5. It hasn't been in the 100's, but it's been close plus a ton of humidity. It makes a bad round even worse.
  6. A swing video would help. You must have some sort of cross motion.
  7. Hit a 270 drive with my 3h that just rolled through into the rough with about a 80ish yard shot left to a front pin. Take a slow 3/4 swing and stick it to 4 feet. Made the bird then go on to triple the next hole to destroy my round.
  8. 81 which should have been a 78 today in the first day of HS tryouts. Tripled 17 (a par 3!) which really killed my round.
  9. I recommend the Sonartec HB-001. They are on clearance at Golf Galaxy (online only) and you can pick them up for $40. Fantastic club.. never should have played without one...
  10. Also, check out Mizuno's MX line of clubs. Unbeatable feel and great control for a GI club.
  11. Alright, I'll work on that first thing in the morning. Thanks again for all of your help!
  12. m11, I really appreciate that drill. I will work on that tomorrow on the range. Hopefully this will be a quick fix. Does the top of my swing look ok? I know that it's a little upright, but I don't know how much I want to play around with that.
  13. Alright, thanks m11. I'll work on the 9 to 3 later today on the range. My main swing thought coming down from the top is hands inside and club down the line. Any help on how not to flip?
  14. My distance is fine at this point. My ball flight isn't too high, but it is a little higher than I'd like it. My only concerns at this point is my flipping habit and my alignment. Does it look like I'm not in sync at the top?
  15. Need confirmation that my swing is intact. Swings in order go full, cutoff, 9-3, full.
  16. You take the club too far inside on your takeaway and you really push the club outside coming into the ball. You hit a draw/hook mainly?
  17. You are standing a MILE away from the ball. Get closer and work on alignment.
  18. D: 270-285 3W: Don't use. 3i: 215-220 7i: 145-160
  19. Hopefully they'll go to other places than Florida...
  20. 41 today on the back nine. Did not take advantage of any shots around the course. Putt decent but still not hitting the ball consistantly solid. Wedges still need some fine tuning.
  21. A pretty bad round of 83. Struck the ball horribly but putted like I never have before. Drained a ton of par putts and two birdies.
  22. Played 18 today and had a couple good shots. 6th Hole: Terrible drive, but it ends about 155 with a straight shot to a back pin. There was a tailwind, so I took and 8i and proceeded to knock it to about 20 feet. Drained the birdie from there. 13th Hole: 54˚ to 4 feet from 105. Too bad it was on my second ball. 15th Hole: Nailed a 20 footer for par. 18th Hole: Huge driver down the middle about 290 and a pushed 4i left me about 75yds out in a crap lie. Take a 1/2 50˚ and play a bump and run up to 8ft. Drained it for birdie. All in a (bad) round of 83.
  23. There's a ton of clubs I could use... 3/4 Punch PW 80% 54˚ Smooth 50˚ Knockdown 8i Knockdown 9i All depends on the condition of my shot.
  24. It was kind of wierd though... I could throttle back my tempo and still hit it near my regular distance...
  25. Going to echo the OP: You guys write fantastic reviews. Period.
