Sorry I had 2 letters wrong in my post. And I didn't say they were attached directly to the bone as if that was the only method. I said it pulling away from the shin. Which would explain why a wrap helps greatly.
-
My only conclusion to that book is that you have too much time on your hands.

An actual chin splint is the muscle pulling away from the bone, at least that is how my doctor explained it to me. Every spring when I get back into running I fight them. The only thing that helped was rest. It got so bad when I would walk normally it would kill me. The only thing that helped me was wrapping my chin/calf pretty snug with a large ace wrap. I would also put ice packs on/off every night. Some very flat shoes like vibram five fingers, merrels or minimus's have helped recently.

I have been trying to slowly go into my VFFs. I used to use all asics but recently I transitioned into new balance minimus which have a slightly thicker sole than VFFs but I has been really taking a toll on my calfs, feet and chins. Even just doing a mile-1 1/2. And this is coming from a traditional heel strike 4-5 miles easy. How have they been working for you and how long did you transfer into the VFFs?

I purchased mine friday and i have only had time to hit it about ten times but so far I really like it. My brother in law made the comment about how much the ball jumped off of the face and he normally uses his razer hawk.

Swing Thoughts and Interruptions
Grunnsetning replied to NuclearMike's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
You're a better man than me. I am a very calm person but some people really need to be put in their place. Next time I would just take up as much space as humanly possible and take it from their. It probably wouldn't end pretty. -
Buying used clubs safely.
Grunnsetning replied to Grunnsetning's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
In the past I have done that. Just wasn't sure if anyone has popped up recently doing it outside of ebay with comparable prices. And yes I am always very careful on EBay, haven't had a bad transaction purchasing yet on there. Now selling that's a different story. -
Are there any places some people on here may recommend for buying used clubs. I will not just google it for the chance of fakes and I would rather deal with a reputable place a lot of people have had positive experiences with. Thanks

P90X definitely does work. It is a great all around fitness and stretching program. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

Agreed.

Thx for the review, anyone else had the chance to hit one yet. On a personal note tomorrow I am using a demo octane. Guess I'll get an opinion on that tommorrow.

Ok ...let's get right down to it ...DRIVER
Grunnsetning replied to Drew Chung's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Maybe you could try and play a few rounds choking down/up on the club (however you wanna look at it) and see how you do. It will at least give you an idea. -
Correct, I think it releases or preorders are tomorrow maybe. I just wasn't sure if anyone maybe had a chance to hit one at a demo day or something.

Can someone help my find my type of ball?
Grunnsetning replied to CodyM's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
While I also agree, he is taking lessons he said. But I will also say just this week I switched from top flite xl's to callaway warbirds and played my best round by about 6 strokes on sunday. I am not saying it was definitely the balls because I was striking very well but I also don't believe heavily in coincidences. -
True but cocktail waitresses aren't in the direct sun on 100 degree days hehe
-
This week I got a beer and a water for someone else. It was like 4.75 and all I had was 6$. I felt terrible. Especially since we play there twice a week or more. I normally do a 1$ a drink or something around there.

please help me stretch away back pain
Grunnsetning replied to Lebowski's topic in Fitness and Exercise
Mine started really bothering me a few weeks ago when I started playing a lot more. Since I have really focused on hitting my back when I work out and it has worked wonders. Of course I do some REAL good stretching of that area before and after working out which really helps. For instance I used to do 2-3 exercises focusing my back where as now I do 5-6. Not to mention it has really helped my strength and play in general. I have also considered doing some yoga. I have only done it once before and enjoyed it. -
I shot a 91 Sunday. My best round ever by around 7 strokes. I adjusted a few things that I was not doing the previous 15 rounds. Moral of the story, I wasn't contempt with my crap swing. A guy a play with twice a week, who normally shoots in the upper 70s starting missing terribly. He went back to his instructor that he hasn't seen in years and in 5 minutes he was fixed. I find the better you play on a more consistent basis the more we do wrong and get away from what we had previously focused on.

Has anyone had the chance to hit the new G20 driver? A lot of the people I play with have always loved their ping drivers and I am in the market for a new driver myself. I am currently leaning towards the RAZR Hawk or R11.

They are just so much more comfortable compared to keeping your weight on your hands the whole time.
-
LOL. I could live off of that with little exercise but add in trips to the gym and running in new orleans heat and I would be a stick. The chicken would definitely help keep you full though IMO.
-
LOL, i was looking for a pic of my bike and all I have is They are a lot of fun and a good workout. Me and my wife used to ride a lot and then the baby came. We'll get back into sooner or later. For now I just run 10-15 miles a week with the son.
