I AM SO EXCITED! All three of my favorite teams made it to the playoffs! Chargers, Titans, and Colts.......but who the hell am i going to root for? All three really have a shot, it just matters how and who they play.

need help selecting new irons
TaylorMadeStud replied to ohfreeride's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
if you are looking for an iron with a mid-high launch with lots of forgiveness and money isn't an issue, go with either the Taylor Made burner xd irons or the r7 cgb max. if money is tight, go with the Taylor Made r7's. all are awesome performing irons that have about the highest resale value in golf so you won't be disappointed. r7 cgb max http://www.taylormadegolf.com/media/..._gallery_2.jpg burner xd http://www.taylormadegolf.com/media/...ery_large1.jpg r7 http://www.taylormadegolf.com/media/...ery-large2.jpg -

I've heard the big man will be on the nationwide for '08. He didn't finish high enough to retain a tour card and I don't believe he has any exemptions. Any truth to this?? Thanx.

To answer your question, they are remarkably long. Here's the deal - they make the regular line for us average joes and they make a tp line. The average joe line is meant to fly high and forgiving shots on off center ones, but not very workable. The tp line (dangerously expensive, $100 to $300 more, but it's what the pros play)is meant to fly low and be very workable, consequently, not forgiving. Taylor Made gives you the options, you just have to play around with them, no pun intended.

No question... Taylor Made by farrrrrrr. Sponsor most staffers, huge internationally (Japan/Europe), Other brand staffers (Titleist) sometimes use Taylor Made woods, irons are unbelieveable, and since they teamed up with adidas and came out with balls, definately, to answer your question, TAYLOR MADE

Taylor Made R7st or R7 TP
TaylorMadeStud replied to AnalogAG's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Trust me on this, I have hit almost every Taylor Made club made in the past 4 years. The TP has no forgiveness at all. The steel might gets a little less distance, but will almost always produce a straight, perfect ball flight if struck well. The steel has a lot more forgiveness also. If you handicap is 0-4 go with the TP, if you are 5-99 go with the steel. You honestly have to hit the ball PERFECT and I mean PERFECT to have a nice shot. Do yourself a favor and get the steel, no questions asked. If you have not tryed the burner steel, give it a shot. In my opinion, the burner steel is the best. -
Which irons do you use?
TaylorMadeStud replied to hypergolf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
taylor made best ever. period. flat out best. ive hit about every iron out there. taylor made by far the best. that is why i switched to all taylor made clubs except a cobra driver. the burner sucked to me. DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHEN THE NEW BURNER IRONS FOR 07 ARE COMING OUT?? I saw them but it didnt have a release date -

Which wedges do you use?
TaylorMadeStud replied to hypergolf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
taylor made rac satin tp wedges are the bomb. y cutter grooves provide excellent spin and control. give em a try!! -
btw you cant legally change the weights between holes. it must be done before or after the round, not during. that question was asked in golf digest, so you can depend on it.

Never ball #4, never a Callaway, always wear a Taylor Made or Adidas r7 hat, clubs must be in the same spot in my bag, flag must not be in sight as I am putting, and never a ball with a sharpie marking from its previous owner.

In the states, troon north in Scottsdale is gorgeous, as well as Gold Canyon. In Hawaii (Maui), Kapalua Plantation is the neatest course ever. An everlasting ocean view on every hole. But, I really wasn't impressed with Hawaii. Spend your money in Arizona, Scottsdale mainly. Hawaii is just way way overpriced. $500 for a threesome!!!!!!! Use your money right, go to Scottsdale.

Okay. The Titleist NXT or DT SoLo are both good models. Also, Maxfli Fire is a good ball. Pinnacle Exceptions are also very good. Stay away from the ProV1 and ProV1x as well as the Callaway HX Tour and Tour 56. Another ball definately not for beginners is the Taylor Made TP Red and Black.

I used to do the same thing. Pup, you got the dreaded banana ball, or slice. Here is what you can do... 1. Close the clubface slightly before you begin your backswing. Overcorrect, and you'll hook it left or hit it very low 100 yards. 2. Look at your left foot (or right if you are a lefty) and make sure it is closed, not open. 3. On your downswing, try to hit the ball in an inside out motion. If you slice it, you are coming over the ball, outside in. 4. Trust me, even though your grip might be right, your clubface can still open during the swing. 5. Good luck!!

I do a lot more practicing at the range and greens. If I played as much as I practiced, definately 80 +

I'd say a 3 to scratch because when you are a three you hit scores consistantly and to improve it and become consistant and comfortable all over again would be, in my mind, quite the task.
