  1. You can play from any set of tees that you wish. If the record is from the senior tees, then it is appropriate for that record to be held by a senior golfer. The same applies for the ladies tees. Personally, I like a challenge and in my book a 185 yard hole is a par 3 all day long so I usually pick the tees that are appropriate for me. On occasion, I will play up to accommodate the group I am with for convenience. The only record that I pay attention to is from the Championship tees.
  2. Golf sandals - No regular sandals - yes any sandals with socks - never
  3. I'm all over it. My only requirement of my playing partners is the ability to play fast and to be ready.
  4. I just went from a Titleist 975D 9.5* to a Calloway BB 454 9* with the NV 65 stiff shaft. So far, so good.
  5. Low 78 High 89
  6. My best round was a 72 (par 71) from just over 6200 yards. The course rating was 71.1/125. It was a stellar day and I was playing to a 6 at the time.
  7. With an iron shot, the top of the tee is almost flush with the ground just enough to elevate it ever so slightly. With the driver you have it hovering inches above the ground, so there is a difference. With the tee you will get a cleaner lie every time.
  8. Using a tee will always give you a perfect lie. Now who doesn't want that? Seriously, I always use a tee and with the irons I will take a divot. The tee just insures the best possible contact without interference.
  9. Yah, I bet his swing was feeling rusty...
  10. I actually take it a step further and quickly wipe my grips (tour wraps) with a damp towel before every shot because I prefer to play gloveless. This really keeps them clean and tacky.
  11. When you are at the range, work towards a target. Put some clubs on the ground to help align you, check grip and posture, and put the ball on a tee to work on tempo. Once you start "smoothing" it more, work off the turf alternating clubs. At this stage you are not learning your clubs as much as you are learning your swing. Take your time in between shots and stay loose. Good luck.
  12. I agree. They will lose their shine over time. Chrome has never bothered me, but some people prefer the duller finishes.
  13. The scrub brush and mild soap does the trick, if not it's time for some new grips.
