  1. It might be time to get a tripod with a MagSafe magnet.
  2. There is a chance that I had to Google what a camera control button is.🤣 And yes, apparently I do have one of those.
  3. I was using the default camera app.
  4. Update I got a chance to record again today and with the camera lock set to on (or green) it was better but still off. I’ll add a video here and you will see that it zooms in right after impact. It is not as much as it was a couple of days ago but still odd and I would like to be able to turn it off (or on). BTW topic for a different tread but I don’t like the way ios 18 scrubs videos. And yes, I could have done better with the bottom of the frame. But who needs to see the club head.
  5. Thank you @iacas. I’ll give that a try tomorrow and report back in case it can help anyone else.
  6. I apologize if this topic has been covered before, but I was not able to find it. I’m wondering if anyone knows how to change the setting on an iPhone that allows it to zoom in while you’re trying to film a golf swing? I was attempting to film yesterday and every time I was set the camera at 1.0 step in to hit the shot or use my watch to start the recording, by the time I was done the phone had zoomed into 1.7 losing parts of the swing in the process. I did turn off the stabilization, but that did not have the effect I wanted.
  7. This is a really good video and selfishly leaves me with some questions. Does the pushing of the chair drill address the timing of the frontal plane torque? Or, just improve how he uses horizontal torque?
  8. I got the chance to go to Golf Evolution and work with @iacasyesterday and a lot of what we worked on fits in this topic so I thought I would share. For a while I have been working on what GEARS calls the pelvic trace. Before I started working on GEARS my trace would work out towards the ball which causes me to become steep and often stall through impact. The first 2 photos are from my first session on GEARS and the last 2 are from yesterday. Here I am at about 4.5 and you can see that my hips are very level. I am not falling into my lead side. I am kind of shoving or pushing off towards the target. Not only am I moving closer to the ball but I am not using the ground. This is that same swing at impact where I am stalling and cutting across it. This is a swing from yesterday where I have made a better into my trail side which allowed me to “fall” or load into the ground as I moved into my lead side. Hopefully you can see that my hips are at an angle. If I had pushed off with my right foot my hips would be level like they were last year. This is the same swing from yesterday at impact. Here I have shifted the path to the inside, created more speed and had more shaft lean then I ever had before. I don’t know for sure that I was pushing off the trail leg in the past but I can say I did not feel like I was in the improved swings yesterday.
  9. 👀 This is definitely intriguing. I do not know enough about radars to know how the unit is gaining this information but I will certainly be staying tuned to learn more. I did go on their site but I did not see any specifics on how it gains the information or how accurate it will be.

  11. I have done 4 rounds at this point and here are my initial impressions. I found myself being more focused on the practice green than normal. This is probably due to the fact that it produces results that compare you to the best in the world. And, I tend to be competitive. I did not know how often I miss to the left. I am curious to see if I can adjust for this when I play. It is going to take a conscious effort to adjust my aim or read. I would like to see them add a feature where you can track results on your watch. When using the Airpod option it would save me from answering the question of "who I am talking to" or become the the guy that is known as the one who walks around muttering phases like "made" or "fast/left". 😆 I listened to Dr. MacKenzie's interview on The Golf Improvement podcast and he stated that in the future, the putting feature will recommend drills based on your performance. All in all I am excited by this and glad that I was an early adopter.
  12. Thank you to everyone that has put this together. I'm good with the format and the cash. I'm looking forward to the get together!
  13. Attending the Event: @saevel25 @iacas @Hardspoon @vasaribm @brockman21 @ChetlovesMer @Slim_Pivot @Greenshirt100 @StuM @RJohn23 @BradSomrak @bjfox10 I hope you folks don’t mind me adding my name to the list. Looking forward to it!
  14. I was referring to his performance on Saturday and Sunday. I did not looks at his stats until this morning. He did putt well on Thursday and Friday but lost strokes on both Saturday and Sunday. I was really more about what I saw. He left a number of putts 5, 6 or 7 feet short on Saturday and the raced a bunch of putts past the hole on Sunday. When he missed from inside of 6 feet it looked like his backswing was to large for the putt he was trying to make. I was just wondering if others saw the same thing.
  15. I am curious to hear what others opinions are on Victor Hovland’s putting. While I am positive that his bad putting is much better than my bad putting I believe they have similarities. There are 2 things we are both guilty of. First, on putts of a decent length we are very good at leaving them woefully short. The second is on missed putts inside 6 feet everyone in the group groans and says you decelled again. I know…the best putters decel, I am completely on board with that outcome. But there must be a way of over doing it or maybe how it done. I think (and I hope because I have been practicing it this winter) the fix is working on @iacas day 8 where the focus is on rhythm, tempo and time.
