  1. Which theme did you end up using for WordPress?
  2. I've got the clicgear 2.0 and it's awesome. Kinda funky to fold / unfold, but I love it.
  3. I scored some "Champions Club" tickets for the first round tomorrow, so it looks like I'm heading down to Akron. This will be my first time attending a PGA tour event. Any tips? Take a chair or no? Follow a group or sit in one place? Let me know.. I think it'll be fun.
  4. Google tells me that Golfsmith charges $19.99 to reshaft an iron, not including the cost of the shaft.
  5. I believe the tool on ebay has one side for U grooves and one for V grooves.. Let's see if I can find a link (not sure if I'm allowed to link to it, but here goes).. Here's a link directly to the URL stamped on the side of the tool: Groove Sharpener I don't have one of these, but I've thought about it. I bought the one from Golfsmith for $8, looks like a utility knife -- worked great on my 588RTG 60, but not so well on chromed wedge heads.
  6. I bet he doesn't even hear them.
  7. I picked up one of these Callaway divot repair tools last year.. I didn't really like the ball mark that came with it, and while I was fidgitting with it, I realized that the ball mark seemed to be about the same size and thickness of a US Quarter Dollar.. so I reach into the cupholder in my car to pull out a quarter to try it, and it fits perfectly -- I look more closely at the quarter that I grabbed, and it's dated 1974, my birth year.. So that's the quarter I use.
  8. It's not an official USGA handicap, but I like oobgolf.com quite a bit.
  9. I'll play a ball until I lose it.. so I usually end up replacing it every other hole.
  10. Quit worrying about other people and play some golf.
  11. 68deg $19 . Not that I think it's useful, but might be fun...
  12. Most of what I've read on finger injuries for right-handed golfers seems to indicate the injuries are common on the left hand... ..I've got soreness and stiffness on my right hand, ring finger and pinky.. can't figure it out.
  13. Ditto this. I can't find them anywhere, locally anyway.
  14. My wife just got me one of these for Father's Day. I'm waiting for the shaft (backordered) to arrive so I can build it! :)
  15. "That ball looks awfully THIRSTY..." (self-explanatory) "Does your husband/boyfriend play golf?" (putt well short..)
  16. Northeast Ohio has more inexpensive ($15-$30 for 18) public courses than I can count, and our share of more expensive very nice courses too. The course I'm playing this year ran a special around the holidays last year, $295 unlimited golf 2008. Best deal around.
  17. That looks really nice... like a nicer version of what I've been gaming for the past 7 years.. ..maybe I should upgrade. :)
  18. I may be a geek, but I'm partial to Ducti wallets.. Right now I carry this one:
  19. 33" -- Thinking of cutting it down to 30", since I grip pretty far down.
  20. I am seriously thinking about building one of Golfsmith's USS Enterprise putters...I tried one at the store a few weeks ago..
  21. Use masking tape. Duct tape will leave sticky crap.
  22. Walking is the way to go. I rode today because it was threatening rain and I wanted to be able to get back to the clubhouse if the sky let loose, but almost always walk. Eyeing the Sun Mountain Speed Carts -- I've got an older Bag Boy pull cart, which is fine, but after trying a buddy's Speed Cart for a few hundred feet the other day, the pull cart sure seems a lot like work.
  23. I echo the recommendation to practice.. I was in a similar spot, where I was just terrified around the green -- afraid of hitting it fat, thin, etc. Got a net to use as a target in the back yard, and now spending some time with my wedges back there really helps.
