  1. Was about to take a look but photo bucket are currently doing maintenance work. However on your second point, every swing must in theory start with a lateral bump of the hips towards the target, I would like to see every ones swing start with a lateral movement left of the body until the weights on the inside on the left heel (for right handed golfers) and then rotate through the ball as fast as they can, this allows the golfer to hit the ball using all his potential power as he is using all his body to create club head speed. Will look at the videos tonight.

    Dear Forum

So you think he was unfairly deleting/editing your posts in order to help his argument? I have never heard of EB so i cannot comment on him personally but i do know that on some forums the best Mods use there power to their advantage, for example on one forum i was on, a person selling trainers got there thread locked by a Mod, why? because the Mod was selling the same line of trainers and didn't want competition. Also having not seen the thread i do not know what happened, my suggestion would be PM the Mod and talk about it via Pm's.

    poll question

To be honest, their is no 'best' ball, if everyone swung the golf club in exactly the same way at exactly the same speed with exactly the same launch conditions, and one ball was head and shoulders above the rest, that would be the 'best' ball, but as golf is every one is different, no one has the same swing, speed, launch conditions and therefore its impossible to announce the best ball. For all those jumping on the band wagon saying the Pro-v1 is the best ball because all the tour players are using it, just think of how much money each tour pro is getting payed to use them. In a recent golf ball test in either Today's Golfer/Golf Monthly (Can't remember which) Titleist had refused to let their ball range be tested on the grounds that the pro testing the balls might not have the ideal swing/launch conditions for the particular golf ball and therefore would provide unfair, inaccurate and derogatory results regarding the particular golf ball, this in itself proves there is no one ideal ball, and that the perfect ball is in the eye of the beholder. 4. A simple full proof tip for chipping and pitching that helps your ball striking 100% is as follows: 1) Set up to the ball as normal 2) (for a right handed golfer) take the 3 fingers nearest to your belt buckle off of the grip (leaving your thumb and fore finger gripping the club) 3) this will feel weird, don't worry 4) Hit a normal chip Don't worry if you hit a complete duff, this trains you to take your hands out of the chipping action and use body rotation to swing the club back and through, try it i guarantee it works, it can be used for pitch shots as well. 5. To be honest the description of the problem itself doesn't tell us much and for that reason i will not give swing advice, how ever if you can make a video of your golf swing available i would be glad to help. If you think you know what your doing wrong then my advice would be as follows: Repeat the correct move/moves 3 - 4 times, focus on exaggerating the correct movement to gain a feel for it. Take a full swing (say with a 7 iron, has to be a full swing mind)however this swing does not need to be a powerful swing, the ball only needs to travel about 50 yards, its effectively a slow motion full swing. The slow motion effect gives you time in your swing to think about the correct move you are trying to implement in your swing, and is far more effective to influence your 'muscle memory' than a full blooded swing with a driver. that does not make him mature though
  10. So you have hit 2/3 greens in reg, topped one duffed a couple and made a lot of 'poor decisions' or 'misjudged' the line, you do not have the right control over the ball to justify blades, if you could get over your ego and get a set of forgiving clubs your scores would improve, blades will not fix the problems you have right now.
  11. Its not arrogant at all mate, its actually an educated opinion that is held by all the most well known golf instructors in the game. when people watch you play with a set of brand new Nike forged blades all they will think is "all the gear no idea" if tour players know their not consistent enough for blades what makes you think you are?
  12. Plenty if not the majority of tour players choose to use cavity backs because they are more forgiving and provide more room for error I know its a nice idea to have a set of blades but you have to look at the gain you would get from them, can you and do you consistently (on purpose mind) shape the ball in the air? Are you efficient at controlling the ball flight, if not and i would suggest that you are no where near this stage of ball control, blades will not improve your game whatsoever.
  13. Would it be wrong to assume that players like Sergio Garcia, Adam Scott, Justin Rose etc (the list goes on....and on) have already reached super star status with their wealth, popularity and increased publicity always on the rise?
  14. Spam is also shelved potted meat. surely we can agree that blades are not the right way forward for someone playing off 25 (trying to force this back on topic lol)
  15. I assume you know the meaning of pedantic then? Also we are on a forum about golf and you are picking me up on the slightest grammatical error lol calm down. Edit: These last two posts are spam so we should get back on topic
  16. Apologies for my apparent poor grammar but please remember i am from England and speak and write the proper version of English, not an American interpretation of it. Also apologies for earlier replies i was having a p*ssed off 10 minutes with pretty much everyone. My opinion hasn't changed however, no matter how you look at it you are not at a good enough level to hit blades, i don't really understand why you are finding this so hard to accept, if you played off 10 with a bad short game maybe you could justify blades, but you cant say that dropping 25 strokes a game is all down to other parts of your game as your ball striking is near tour quality, blades are not big and are not clever, and the majority of tour pro's do not use them.
  17. Rant warning Been f*cking pissed off recently trying to move house and every time we get somewhere it falls through and have to wait even longer, moving in with us is i suppose my future 'step mum' and while dont get me wrong shes nice its still not the same as having my real mum who died 5 years ago, on top of all this all my f*cking friends seemed to have turned their backs on me and are only now saying you just need to talk about your problems with us, why would i talk about anything with you after your little phase of hating me. ffs why is everything so stresful rant over
  18. lol your a mug enjoy your blades son is all i can say. end of my input in to this pointless thread.
  19. lol your an idiot mate, what ever floats your boat though, all i can say is your off 25 you are not good enough to use blades stop dreaming lol muppet
  20. lol maybe if your off 10 - 12 you can be a good enough ball striker too use blades and crap at everything else, but at 25 your being a complete idiot mate, people won't think your a better golfer and it wont lower your scores, it won't serve you any purpose so maybe you should grow up and swallow some pride and get yourself a proper set of clubs to suit your ability
  21. lol you play off 25 and are talking about Nike and Mizuno blades.... jog on mate get your self Nike Slingshots or Callaway Fusions, you shouldnt even be considering blades yet lol... ahh funny
  22. Feel like you loop it at the top of your swing, so that you reach the top of your swing normally, then really get your arms inside the line of the downswing, old swings of Sergio Garcia are a good example of the looping i mean. It wont correct some of the flaws in your swing long term but it might be a swing thought you can take and use on the course without hitting every shot sh*t.
  23. You my friend, are not hitting a draw, your hitting a pull hook, strengthening your grip does not change the path of your downswing, and your hitting it further because you are delofting the club face and pulling it.
  24. Free bump as im intrested in peoples views on the importance of spin in approach play??
  25. What club are you hitting, it looks like a low loft considering how far back it is in your stance. To do with your swing, you need a video of your swing from behind you (up the line view), if you can see only 1 knuckle i would suggest your grip is too weak, 2 knuckles is ideal. it looks like you have no room to swing at impact, you should address the ball with roughly 5 - 7 inches on room between your left hand and your belt buckle (this is roughly the same as the span of your hand, fully stretched, from thumb tip to little finger) You have no width after impact what so ever, instead you are dragging your club straight left after impact, through impact feel like your extending the club face as far as you can towards the right of the target after impact. Your hips are swaying too far to the right in the back swing but isn't really going to affect your downswing as much as you cope with it well on the down swing At the top of your swing you don't seem to complete the swing with your shoulders, which i think is leaving you in a laid off position at the top of your swing (club pointed to the left of the target) and you are unable to re route the club enough on the downswing to avoid the slice. So my main tips would be: Complete shoulder turn on back swing so that you make a full turn and get the club pointed too the target (too aid this i would add this warming up well is key, when stretching your shoulders (club across shoulders etc) hold the stretch on each side for 25 seconds, in general do this as often as possible) After impact make sure you get plenty of width after the ball, extend the club head out towards the right of the target after impact. Hope this helps.
