Driving irons

I am still waiting for someone to fess up to still using a John Daly 0 (zero) iron....
2. In looking at David's iron on page 40 of the July 13, 2012 Golfweek, I did not recognize the logo on his 7 iron. I looked on the web and see that he has a deal with Scratch Golf but unless this is a new logo for them, I have no clue. It almost looks to be a skull and crossbones .. None know?
3. Thanks...it was relatively easy
4. While being neither "up" nor "down" on this, there is a certain "charm" to it "all", albeit "strange". (I know I am scraping "bottom" on this....)
5. Has anyone gotten their DVD yet? I was wondering how long I should expect men to show up? (ordered it day I think..12 or 13 days ago)

It's 2012

Whenever I have a match I pray that I draw someone who has not taken the Aimpoint course. When practicing with my knitting needles, levels, and swinkey...I just let folks think I am nuts .. I also use some talcum powder to make some lines to work to point to point putts. Then I attribute my triple breaking made putts to a "lucky guess" to my opponents/playing companions. So, bottom line..if you are a skeptic..remain so and bring your wallet.. Remember.. All putts break downhill...period.
7. The God particle lives...in a manner of speaking
8. I have always putted with head cover in my back pocket (except for the time I used the futura putter). Not sure why I started doing that but have done it for over 25 years now.
9. If you want to get a quizzical look from a golfer who wears their sunglasses upside down behind their head, ask them why... The answer, of course, is that the professionals do it . (and they do it so that their sponsor's logos will show up unobstructed on tv, etc) This got me to wonder if there are other counter-intuitive things that are done just because the pros do it.. (excluding slow play)
10. Aimpoint charts, disposable camera to take picture of my HIO (or one by a playing partner) (remains from the days before every cell phone having a built in camera ), epi-pen, Advil, sunscreen, etc.
11. I did.. However, I just found the "clear cache" function and that seems to have solve the problem. FYI...I am using an iPad 3.
12. The message I get is: It appears the server has some issue with tapatalk or your session is expired . If this problem persists, please re-enter this forum from account tab. I can get into my other accounts with no problem...
13. Am I the only person having problems getting into the site via tapatalk (for the past 15 or so hours)?
14. The real key is the distance your wrists are from the ground. A 5 foot 9 person with short arms might need extended clubs while a tall person with longer arms can use standard clubs.
15. I am 6 foot 7. Clubs are +3 and 3 degrees upright. The main reason for the lengthening is due to the relative shortness of my arms. (hence my short basketball career)
16. Laurel Hill in Lorton, Virginia is a great public course. The USGA U.S. amateur public links championship 2013 will be held there. It is rarely crowded and all the course you can handle...
17. Check out Primland in Virginia
18.

Just getting the red ink all over my club faces would be enough to annoy me...
I like to remark my ball on the tee with a red dot. That way I can check where in the club face I make contact. This also applies on par 3s. At times I will take a sharpie to the range and mark each range ball soni can check my irons
19. Golden Bear at Keenes Point and Celebration,
20. What would be most helpful to many golfers would be an "equivalency" chart showing which fw's are equivalent to which hybrid's and are equivalent to which irons. I overhear the discussion many times when folks are trying to decide what to replace their 3, 4, 5 irons with. Most already have a 3 wood and possibly 5 wood or a hybrid. Unless you already own everything and can chart our your distances, it can be a daunting challenge to pick the right mix and not end up with two clubs that go the same distance, albeit differently suited for different conditions .
21. Xxl por favor
22. Yes..strokes are gained... The main thing is practice and trust the reading. If you are consistently missing putts during practice, isolate the problem...your speed, your read or...? When I first started my inclination was to have a slight tendency to putt towards hole rather than the spot. (trust issue). Old habits are hard to break. It helps if you can identify them so you can work specifically on them.
23. Edel variable weight 37 inch
24. Thanks for moving my post over to this thread. It clears it up completely. Now I can focus on my swing. (when is 5SK DVD coming out?)
