  1. They have played practice rounds on this course, everyone always complains about how the pros play on such a nice pristine courses....... I think it's great if you want to win the U.S. Open you have to play any course in any condition
  2. Yes but it's the same for everyone......
  3. I don't see the problem. Not every course is supposed to be Augusta
  4. Thanks, really good stuff.
  5. Thanks, so this "swoosh" drill was just another drill you incorporated when working with your swing coach? I really like how you stated previously something like "a required piece of todays game is distance" (sorry cant remember exact) so you had to address that. Do you have any more details on exactly what you did pertaining to distance? I'm just curious since there are some many stupid "gain 50 yards off the T" gimmicks and commercials that I would like to hear how someone actually does it. Thanks,
  6. Thanks for posting all this, I enjoy reading this thread. I was wondering what specifically have you done to increase distance? I'm guessing it is probably a few things but what do you feel was the main factor, strength training, swing mechanics etc. Thanks and good luck.
  7. So just to confirm, your friend who is a +1.9 and shot a tournament 63 cannot hit a high towering long iron? I guess the point I am trying to make is a + player IMO is at an entirely different level then Dan is when it comes to the golf swing. The reason Dan cannot hit long irons and struggles off the T is because he cannot hide his swing faults with those clubs.
  8. I don't think you understand how good a + player actually is or what kind of shots they are able to play. Dan simply cannot hit a high towering 4 iron fading or drawing.
  9. I never really thought of that, but I think your right. Trying to show some kind of progress.
  10. I wasn't disagreeing with you, I just find that a very a weird thing for Dan to say. I mean having a good short game has nothing to do with being a + player, I guess that just shows how delusional Dan really is.
  11. That seems like a strange way of looking at it, a trackman score in one area and being a good putter has nothing to do with being a plus golfer. I play with guys who hit it a long way, are they plus off the T ?
  12. I would agree that almost any new golfer who takes up the game and just goes out and plays will hit some kind of wall after three years. I think that wall is breakable but only with instruction or some kind of coaching.
  13. I thought it was a good interview, have you practiced it much? Also really like your YouTube channel, really good interview with monty.
  14. @iacas any updates on your offer? has he still not contacted you about it?
  15. What was his response to your offer? "Sounds great, I'll call you later to discuss" and then never called?
  16. Sorry if this is too late but "why don't you post swing videos and your progression? "
  17. Thanks Pete, I find this very interesting. Good luck.
  18. Just wondering how much time do you spend with your swing coach? In the beginning did you have to "rebuild" your swing at all or was it mostly just making small changes at a time? Thanks,
  19. Im curious, what does Dan have to say? is he basically telling you that what he is doing is working well and doesn't need to do anything different? Any specific reasons for not wanting to trade/share information with you? or he just basically ignored it? Thanks,
  20. Makes sense, although those guys are amazing golfers. I am just saying simply if this guy was to get more to his left side that would cause the face to open even more, hence his brain tells him to hang back and let the face close?
  21. I am definitely not an instructor, but find this interesting. Isn't the fact he's not getting over to his left side because of the weak grip?
  22. 1. He needs to fix his grip, its hard to tell from these videos but the face looks wide open. I would guess its wide open at the top of his swing as well. His grip needs to be much stronger. 2. Since the club face is wide open his brain is yelling at him to square it up so he drops the club straight down and flips at it a bit. 3. Make his grip much stronger and have him hit punch shots. There is no way he will be able to come straight down on the ball and flip with a much stronger grip, this will fix a bunch of the other issues as well.
  23. No..... It's called not working with his instructor.
  24. you should totally ask, I would be curious to hear his side.
