  2. roy wilkins jr. of the naacp. venue was kissena park in queens county new york. we were two singles. i caught up to him on #4 and he invited me to join him. we finished the front and then he had to leave. he was a soft spoken gentleman and he hit the ball pretty good for an old guy!
  3. at eisenhower red course hole #8, a short par 4. second shot was a low screamer, one bounce in front of greenside bunker, hit a rake that someone left in the middle of it, bounced onto the green. two putts, par!
  4. 490 par 5, dogleg right, pond in front. drove it 220, but into the woods right. skanked one across the fairway into the left rough, 150 to the green. skanked another one out of the rough, still 95 out. holed a sand wedge. ho hum birdie.
  5. still a foot or more of snow cover. you can take your clubs out of the closet if you want to but you won't be taking them to bethpage any time soon. next year i'm going to florida. winter sucks.
  6. thanks for the 411
  7. why does the battery run out faster if it's in a zipped compartment?
  8. lots of golf apps for both. is screen size the most important consideration? or battery life? ease of use? any recommendations from satisfied users of either? thanks.
  9. i went for the 3 benjamins last spring. 90 rounds played last season times 33 putts per round comes to almost 3000 putts. that's about $.10 per putt. i'd say it was $$$ well spent. life is short. if you love the putter then go for it.
  10. anyone have experience with the "tour striker"? is it a worthwhile training aid?
  11. yes we do. and thanks for the evaluation.
  12. would those of you who have a pelz putting tutor recommend it? i'm looking for an aid to help me square the putter at impact and then release the toe on the follow through. is the putting tutor a good fix for this issue? thanks.
  13. to sum up, stay away from golf tec, buy a video camera, and take lessons with a class "A" pro at a nearby range or private club. i was surprised to learn that many private clubs allow their pros to give lessons to non members. all it takes is a phone call. thanks to all for saving me $$$$$$$.
  14. OK, who's been to golf tec? did you have a positive experience there? and can they help with putting or is it full swing only? thanks for your input.
  15. what's a chicken stick????
  16. buy direct from seemore website or use website to find authorized dealers.
  17. swing speed averages 85mph. drive distance 195-230. spin for control around the greens is a must. if you fit this profile, what ball have you found is your best fit? thanks for the advice. doug.
  18. speaking as one who shares this problem, i own two putters which have helped immensely: seemore mfgp and the sabretooth. for me, the seemore is better on the shorties (8 feet and in), the sabretooth is more forgiving on the lags. i putted with the anser 2 for 30 yrs. last season i bought both of my recommendations and they've made a big difference in my putting "prowess". good luck. doug.
  19. thanks, Stuart. i've tried both regular and milled and am leaning to the milled. it's gonna cost me, but hey, it's christmas. thanks, naples. i took your advice. tried all the models and the mfgp is the winner. hey scrambles, i'm a 13 and not a good putter, averaging 33 putts per round. usually miss to the right. the see more putters that i've tried really help me to rotate the putter face through the ball, at least on the indoor putting greens at the golf store. can't wait til next season so i can use my new mfgp on the course! thanks for your reply. d.
  20. hi all, if you've got one, has it lived up to your expectations? does it help with aim, set up, and stroke path? care to give a quick review? thanks, d.
  21. who's got one? is it living up to your expectations? care to give a quick review? thanks. d.
  22. see more mFGP. it feels like cheating. d.
