I simply find it funny that you consider the act that Manning was performing so bush league and it draws your ire so much. I say this because you mentioned it earlier in this thread as well. It also happens across the league and I would wager every team does or has done it at some point. To me there are many more things that go on within a game that I consider worse, that are actually against the rules, and people get away with it. I mean, it is really easy to stop this particular action after all. Don't jump off-sides and you have nothing to worry about. I can see it happening once, maybe twice.. but 5 or 6 times? That is simply a lack of discipline. But some people follow rules to the letter and some bend them but don't break them. I've always been part of the latter crew so I suppose that is why it doesn't bother me that he does this. If you are a part of the former crew, then I imagine its a PITA to see.

Everyone has their small things or pet peeves. I will admit I am a bit bias towards Manning because I've been watching him since 94 and know what he continues to do off the field still, even here in Knoxville. I think Manning is a football genius and does bend the rules a bit, but I do think most NFL teams do the same, maybe just not as well.
-
So you think Manning is the only QB that advises his OL to do this? With all the cheating that has gone on in the NFL; including drugs, spygate, injuring players on purpose, I do find it a bit humorous that you have twice now called Manning Bush league for simple things as this.
-
Practically every team in the NFL does everything you are trying to push on Manning, including every team still in the playoffs. Hard counts have been around forever.

Dr Draw, I can understand being upset at your game. I think what most people are trying to tell you is that the advice given to you so far isn't a quick fix that will quickly improve your game. The advice/drills given to you are ones you will continually need to do over the coming weeks, and if practiced properly, you will see the changes you want. What you are describing is very common in players with higher handicaps such as you and myself. Our swings are inconsistent. Before your break you were playing well, now you are not. Next week you may play well again, and the next not so much. However, to see steady and consistent improvement you need to continue working on the advice given to you and not expect it to happen over night. I went to the 5SK school with David Wedzik and Erik a year ago and I am still working on the things they suggested to me with much improvement. I was in a very similar boat as you having played the game a similar amount of time. Just keep working on it.

He just told you thay stuff 11 hours ago. You aren't magically going to majorly improve in 11 hours. You have to keep practicing it....

I simply can't wait and hope that Tennessee returns to its former self, and soon. The Bama/UT rivalry is already great. Throw in D-bag Kiffin and it just got even better!
-
I agree. Mason and the Auburn decimated Tennessee this year and I think they threw like 7 passes. I knew Auburn was legit after watching that game, but that is mostly because I hadn't seen them play much before that.
-
Actually, as much as this pains me to say this, I don't think Kiffin sucked at Tennessee. He went 7-6 and went to a bowl game with limited talent and managed to beat Georgia and South Carolina (ranked) that year. And this is coming from someone that literally wish the guy never coached football again..

I don't think I had a "class" that really stuck with me in the ways most have mentioned. I am a history buff so I really enjoyed any history classes but I can't think of any single class that particularly sticks out. My confidence, or persona so to speak has mostly been shaped by my military experiences or schools I have attended. The most dramatic change for me took shape in the military and helped me realize I was no longer a child but an adult and that it was time to start acting that way. I suppose I should have paid more attention in my math classes, but I suppose I was smart enough to marry a woman with a degree in Math. I hate math! Then again, high school ROTC did start me in the process of considering the military as a career so I suppose that class was a factor in my life.

Its funny you say this because my wife is black and I am white. I really get a kick when people make racist jokes to me. I never say anything and ignore it but the look on their faces when they meet my wife is priceless. You can tell they want to crawl into the nearest hole lol!

I don't think anyone was saying San Diego should feel shame because of that call. I think people were saying the should feel shame because the game came down to a field goal and they were playing a team with 17-18 starters sitting out of the game :). Either way, they are in the play offs and maybe they win the super bowl, who knows.

The problem, in my opinion, with your line of thinking is that it puts even more judgement on the refs when they are already struggling with what is currently on their plate. Instead of deciding if a rule was broken, they now have to decide if the rule that was broken had any impact on the current play. That is almost impossible to decipher. While you assume, and probably correctly, that the penalty we are discussing had no impact on the kicker missing, how can we know for sure? If a defensive back is called for holding on a receiver that wasn't targeted, does the flag get picked back up? How do we decide if that hold effected the route enough to keep the QB from throwing him the ball, or was he going with another target from the get go? I feel like that is putting more grey in a world that needs to be black and white.

Pass interference calls are often split second decisions and the refs don't always have the best angle. They shouldn't miss them often but I can see how it happens. However two nfl refs should not miss an illegal procedure call when the players are set and standing still. There is not a lot going on during a standard field goal so that makes it even worse imo.

Wedge setup -Callaway X Forged or Jaws CC?

I got the mack daddy 2 wedges for xmas. Have really enjoyed them so far. -
On a draft related note, the Texans will have the first pick in this years draft. I know they are most likely going to pick a QB because of their issues this year, however.. Could you imagine if they picked Clowney and had him and J.J. Watt together? That would be a fun defense to watch! Also, on another interesting note, Demarius Thomas caught a TD pass from Manning today that allowed Manning to get his 55th TD (Standing record) and that also put him over the passing yards in a season, passing Brees. How would you like to have that football? :)

How do you figure the NFC is a much better conference this year? The NFC won a total of 128 games this year. The AFC won 126. I think the conferences were fairly equal this year and I think the teams representing them are fairly equal as well. Denver-Seattle (comparable). One has the best offense in the NFL, the other one of the best defenses. NE-Panthers (Comparable). I think the advantage goes to Carolina on this one but it would have been close if NE hadn't lost their best receiver. The panthers do have a great defense. KC-49ers (Comparable) Both of these teams have had really bright spots but also shown some real weaknesses. I think KC has had a let down at the end because they knew they couldn't go any higher than the wild card. Overall, I like the 49ers here and definitely think they'd win head to head. Colts-Packers (Comparable) I like the Colts here. They've been hot here at the end and Luck has shown he can handle the pressure. The real variable here is obviously how well Rodgers plays. Bengals (Cowboys/Eagles) I think this one definitely goes to the Bengals, especially if the Cowboys manage to beat the Eagles today. San Diego-New Orleans: This one definitely goes to New Orleans. So I do agree the NFC has been better this year but I think its fairly close. They had about the same amount of bottom feeders this year too and its made for some good football this season with no true overwhelming favorite. I am a Manning fan and hope he gets one more ring, but I don't know what to expect. Seattle has been really good this year but has shown they aren't as good on the road. The biggest thing I think the NFC has going for it is its defenses. Seattle, 49ers, and the Panthers all have top notch defenses, where as the Broncos, Patriots do not. Most interesting to me will be to see if the newer guys can overcome the playoff experience of some of the vets. We have a good mixture of both this year.

I do think more refs is the best way to fix some of the issues the nfl is now facing with bad calls. The game is just getting so fast with so much emphasis on passing. I have a hard time watching everything in my sons 5 year old flag football league. I can't imagine doing it at nfl speed.

Not sure if I did the quoting thing right, but here goes anyway. 1) I definitely did this. I attended a 5SK school and have developed a much more consistent natural swing. 2) I did not obtain this goal. I am hovering around 18 currently. 3)I did not break 80 but I came close. I shot an 81 this summer and in the mid 80's on several occasions. 4) I thoroughly enjoyed my golfing this year. Joined a country club in the latter part and have met a lot of new people and am really enjoying playing with my 5 year old as well.

I use Electric as well, but I have a baby face when it comes to facial hair. I can go almost two days without shaving and still pass military standards on facial hair. When I do use a blade I just use disposable cheap blades. It helps to have light facial hair I guess!

1) Continue to improve from last year in all aspects 2) Break 80 for the first time 3) Enter my first tournament at my home course 4) Try to attend a TST golf outing if more pop up. 5) Open a 5SK Golf School-Kuwait (Later on this year ) Emphasis on Bunkers.

Here is my guess on the coins riddle: I separate the 99 coins with heads up and the unknown with tails up and put them in two separate piles. I then take all 99 coins in the heads up pile and flip them over to tails up. I now have two piles of tails up coins. I now combine all the tails up coins together and tally up how many coins I have. Once this is done, I divide that total number by two and split them into two even piles. Once I know exactly how many I have in each pile I then turn an equal number over to heads up in each pile thus giving me an equal amount of heads up. Note: I am assuming I have the pile of 99 heads up in the beginning and can tell which these are to flip them over. If not, this is not correct :)

I've had problems with the mobile app as well past 3-4 hours and I have logged out and back in. I get this message: Unable to create the cache directory (/var/lib/huddler/www.thesandtrap/collateral/twig/64/d6).
