  1. C3... I'm named after my Father who was named after his Father. If I'm not in anyones line I use a $5 Chip from Bellagio otherwise it a cap marker that says TinCup.
  2. Hot Tub for 30 - 45 minutes before driving the 10 minutes to the course. No Hot Tub, Advil does the trick for me.
  3. This is a true story. I'm neither as good as I think nor as bad so... Whiffed my second shot on #1 a month or so ago. Hadn't whiffed one before that as far back as I can remember. Here's the kicker... same round, #6, I swung so hard I fell over (honest). That was a first for sure. :o)
  4. I'm a solid 14 so look at it from that perspective. Was even through 7 with a bogie and a birdie. Playing way over my head. Doubled the #1 handicap par 5 8th and the easy par 4 9th for a 40. Then the sky opened up but we played on. Didn't fare as well on the back, 47 but the conditions were horrible (really). I'm trying hard to work on my irons as they are what holds me back. I come over the top something horrible but today I hit some really solid iron shots and may have found a little something. Tomorrow's weather doesn't look good. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for starting this tread.
  5. Callaway Fusion Wide Sole Irons, Taylormade R7 460 Driver (For the moment)
  6. Not being allowed to tap down spike marks. Nothing worse than playing behind some club foot (it's a joke) and having to putt over around and through a mine field.
  7. I've retired twice (IBM, Coke) but neither took. She Who Must Be Obeyed and I are hired guns (contractors) and provide administrative support to a couple of clients. This site is new to me and now that college football season is over I can stay off the blogs and spend more time here. Hopefully it will reduce my Ebay surfing too.
  8. I use a face balanced putter and my putting stroke has a big loop in it on the way back but I somehow manage to get it square again by the time it gets back to the ball. I also use a split grip on a standard (35") putter. The split grip reduces the size of the loop in the back swing.
  9. I go through golf equipment like poo through a goose. 99% of everything comes from Ebay and winds up right back on their with in a few months or sometimes days. The bag itself is the best story. Black Sun Mountain Front Nine. Lots of pockets and all easily accessible. Bought it on Ebay for $50. When it arrived the seller had not cleaned it out. There were tees, balls, scorecards a couple of golf towels, etc. As I examined the contents further I found a divot tool and matching ball marker. Looking even closer the divot tool was inscribed Tiffany& Co. Both were sterling silver. The ball marker alone lists for $50 on the Tiffany website. Carry the usual stuff, Sharpies, tees, balls, tape, bottle opener, insect spray (summer) etc. Driver: Taylormade R7 9.5* w/two 14 gram weights, Graphite Design YS6+ shaft. Fairway: Taylormade 3w, 5w, 7w (all stock) Hybrid: Callaway FT 4H, 5H (all stock) Irons: Callaway Fusion Wide Sole 6 - P + A + S (all stock) Putter: Bobby Gace (Cobra) Lo Pro (w/a ton of lead tape) Ball: Pro V1*'s when I can afford them, Bridgestone B330 S. All but the putter are subject to being placed on Ebay should they misbehave. Oh ya I think I'll hold onto the divot tool/marker too.
  10. I've had a bazillion putters but always return to my Bobby Grace (Cobra) Lo Pro. I "love" this putter so much that in addition to my Gamer I have 2 backups.
