Unfortunately not. That would require a dome (Can't play football in the cold and snow) and I'm not aware of one with enough capacity in PA. Plus the last single state Super Bowl (XXIX - San Fransisco vs San Diego) was held in Miami, FL not CA.

Another good thing to see was FWP (Fast Willie Parker) hitting the hole hard. He was running like he did in his first season as a starter....like he had something to prove. If he can run like that.....that hard and aggressive....the Ravens are going to have a long day much like the Chargers did. That's going to set up everything else in that game. 53,500+ terrible towels waving. Ooof...

If nothing else....the ganjagolfer is persistent.... Maybe if it's all PA......they'll move it to PSU's Beaver Stadium!?!

Thank you. The Ravens defense is pretty banged up after that game Saturday....still no push over though. They've been doing some bonding....

The Chargers are a hot team right now but I don't think they're quite as hot as the Ravens. That teams is now quite impressive since they actually have a QB and a nice tandem in their running game. We still could see two 6 seeds in the Super Bowl! Wouldn't that be something...and I think it's quite possible! Either that or an all PA Super Bowl (I'd prefer that).

About 10 yrs ago I weighed myself at 212....way too fat for a 5'8.5" guy. Quit smoking and started exercising.....dropped it to 149 and maintained it between 149-160 for the last 10 yrs. Am now up to 171 as of this morning and am extremely uncomfortable. I would like to drop 15 lbs as my most comfortable weight is right around 155. Getting through winter will make it tough as I go outside as little as possible unless it's over 35°. When it's not winter I walk about 3 miles every night unless I'm golfing....then I walk a lot more.... So I need to do what I did before: Walk >3 miles / day Get back to eating healthy Upper body workout (Crunches, Chinups, Pushups)

Occasionally, he gets hit, breaks a nail and has to go to the hospital. There's been lots of times that it looks like he's really milking an injury but he usually comes back firing on all cylinders. For that reason, I was a little happy he went down. It doesn't hurt to have a starter as a back up either.... Him holding onto the ball too long is a double edged sword. I don't complain about it because it's the reason he makes most of the great plays that he does.

I say it's the weather! Either that or the fact that there have been some pretty heavy duty topics being discussed (The election and the candidates policies, the current economic situation, etc...) and the negativity could be a reflection of the differential viewpoints addressed in those topics pouring into other threads....possibly......?????

Still seeing this being the case. The Colts are pretty strong right now. This still needs to happen....

I just got back from hitting these clubs and thought they felt great. I haven't hit many "player" irons but I struck all but two shots quite well and they felt very good. As golf_junkie said, you cannot see the cavity at address and they do look way better than any of the images on the net. I had intended to upgrade my irons this season to more of a GI set but now I am almost completely sold on these. Still looking at hitting a few other brands first though. Here is an image from the main portion of this site that do the clubs a little more justice than I have seen on other sites (including TM's):

I know....that's why I said it. And I'm with ya on a few of those...... To each his/her own.

I just recently decided to go with ProV1's (I used to play the lower cost, lower spin balls primarily based on the cost and the fact that I'm not good at golf). I decided to switch to ProV1's for the following reasons: I'm not a slicer. (Two bit hack of a golfer? Absolutely....but I don't slice. My high handicap primarily stems from issues on, into or around the green. ) I prefer the feel. Better distance. Better control into the green. Firm greens where I play. This rant is much like one about people hating when other people text message or any other of the sort.....how does this really have any effect on you...let alone a negative effect to the point where you need to "vent"? (Note: I'm not stating that this is a poor debate....could prove quite informative for many. )

This is heart breaking. The one and only club delivered to me via UPS was delivered like this.

They're starting to remind me of the early to mid 90's Steelers where you had to depend on Rod Woodson coming up with a pick-6 or Carnell Lake returning a fumble for a touchdown. And I still don't like the play calling.

I didn't feel that you'd bashed me. I didn't say you were bashing me anywhere in that post (maybe the little bit at the end could imply that....). Maybe I could have specified where the bashing was directed. Or rather....where I felt it was directed. My bust. Personally....I think it's great that you have a reason for your preferences in government officials. I couldn't care less if they are or aren't in line with my preferences. You're allowed that.....but to state "I would rather vote for a dumb person than a dumb person who excuses their stupidity with their archaic faith."....doesn't say "I don't want religion influencing my government". Not to me anyway.
-
That's fine. But for the record....I did not defend Sarah Palin in my previous post. Nor did I state that I think Obama is dumb.....he's obviously far from dumb. My post was in response to one that stated "Sarah Palin shouldn't be anywhere near politics until she learns that Africa isn't a country as well as memorizing the (to her apparently) large number of countries in North America.". If this is the case, maybe the same should hold true for the man that will be working from the Oval Office come Jan. 20, 2009...based solely on what he'd said in the clip. But...this is not the case. Mr. Obamas statement there could be looked at in a few different ways. One of which is.....maybe he's visited 48 states....and some of those 48 states he's visited more than once.....totalling 57 visits to different states. There are many other ways that his statement could be defended. Instead of taking a different perspective...you went ahead and made the statement that you'd made....to continue the bashing. God speed President Elect Obama! Even some of us that excuse our stupidity with our archaic faith (I think that's republicans....or conservatives.....or just stupid people that did not vote for you) are willing to stand behind you.

You make some good points about the offensive personnel (thanks for setting me straight ). And they do seem to be managing the games better as of late. Would like to see more TD's inside the red zone and I'm not a big fan of the play calling this season.... I prefer old school Steeler football.....RUN the ball! . Especially with the tandem (plus Russel and Davis) that they have in the backfield. Run the ball, control the clock, play the field position game...With that defense....why try anything else? GO STEELERS!!!
