  1. Something I heard years ago and it holds true… if you have a 3 wood you can hit well, don’t ever get rid of it.
  2. $50…. Maybe go to a local Play it Again Sports store and see what you can pick up. Check online at 2nd Swing. You can choose drivers and sort by price. I saw a 2013 Callaway x hot driver prices range on there from $48 to $169 depending on condition. As far as your height in relation to club length. Your irons should be longer than standard but your driver and 3 wood should not be. Just buying off the rack should be fine
  3. I saw this today and stroked 4 15 foot putts dead center. Callaway’s answer to the LAB didn’t disappoint in looks as well as a $299 price point. It’s an awkward look for me, the LAB. The #7 looked better but still not completely a favorite look to me. More normal than the LAB being a #7. Each putt rolled effortlessly on the intended line. I can myself looking for one at the CPO Black Friday Sale this year.
  4. Shorter length shaft, more loft… weight shouldn’t have anything to do with it as a fw head weighs more than a driver head. More backspin could actually hurt because sidespin is part of that. Something lower spinning will usually go straighter. If you’re trying to “work the ball” then you want spin.
  5. I’d go. Would love to see some players that I’ve heard and watched for years play.
  6. I thought PXG’s secret weapon was the “desert club”. Golf companies must be running out of regular clubs🙄
  7. Why has nobody here called dibs?
  8. Good Luck!! I saw today about Cobra getting in on it by “dropping a duece”
  9. 😁That’s because it’s Golfwrx 🙄…where everyone is a +12, hits is 370, and has unlimited money for new equipment! Maybe I’ll go over there and say I ordered 12 of them 😁 Gotta keep up with the Jones over there. As you know there are a couple other sites like that🙄. Niche audience is the perfect phrasing. Most of the comments so far back that up.
  10. That’s the dumbest thing I ever heard… they only have complete clubs…. They couldn’t have unscrewed it like you did??? Wow…right?
  11. So they sent you the current model or an older one? If it’s the current model you still have the warranty. And they made you send back the club with the shaft and sent another club/shaft set up? I would think, like with my stealth 2, they would just swap head for head.
  12. Didn’t get back to a decent routine in November and December as planned. I really need to get up earlier and get to the 7 am CrossFit class… but I’m too tired. Right now getting in 3 times a week. Going to get some swing speed exercises in too. January-April should be Monday - Friday, load up on supplements too.
  13. “The stuff legends are made of…” 😁 As long as OEM’s keep replacing them…. But if it cracks 2 years in, you’re screwed on the warranty. the Cobra Dark Speed driver gets rave reviews. Haven’t heard of breakage issues. Taylormade now came out with the Qi35 heads. Absolutely stunning but it’s a carbon fiber sole as well as the face and crown. I guess we’ll see.
  14. Really not surprised, and neither are the OEM’s. The clubheads are just so many pieces now put together, not just a face welded to a body. I’ve done demos and had head’s practically explode. And it’s not always people with high swing speeds either. Last year I cracked my Stealth 2 Plus… the carbon crown cracked. I held onto it for a while until I knew I’d get a Qi10 on the warranty swap, which I did. I got the Qii10 in July and in October the fave started to come off plus I cracked it across the middle from the toe to the center… right where I like to hit it. So next year I’ll send that one back for whatever is new next year. I’m not angry, I have back up drivers and it’s nice getting a new one every year.
  15. Correct, we have Asian members that have told me that.
  16. I was hitting my friend’s TW today and will end up finally unboxing mine to use. I’ll put the Nikes aside. The Vapor Pro irons , the Vapor line in general have an odd cult following and the prices stay up there. I almost pushed the original grips off of them so as not to wear them out and regrip them for my own use. It’s crazy that they are worth more with the grips🙄.
  17. It’s winter here and time hitting at my indoor place. This year I bought and sold a few sets so I didn’t settle in on anything. For this coming season, starting now I have a choice to make. What set would you guys use? 1. Nike Vapor Pro irons - They are like new, hit them some last year before I had to demo other sets. I love them, original grips, barely used so I’m almost not wanting to use them to keep their value up. Standard LLL and standard grips. 2. Taylormade P7TW irons - Still in the box. Got them over a year ago but had too much to hit, never used them. Have used a set in the past and loved them. Ended up with my own set custom fit to me -1/4”, 1 degree flat midsize grips. These are probably not as valuable because they are still available and they are fit to me. I hate to put the Nikes away but it makes more sense to save them than the TW’s…. I dunno….
  18. They have a strange cult following where I’ve bought and sold a number of sets and made good money. This set was in a guys basement he was cleaning out. He said he couldn’t believe how many people messaged him after I did about them. I just go with it, never lose a dime on Vapors.
  19. Last night I was putting my Nike Vapor Pro Irons back in my bag. I had my sons i500’s in there the last couple months after we all went to Top Golf . I picked up the Nike’s this past spring and they are like new. I feel guilty using them… I have other irons that aren’t valuable that I could use instead.
  20. My 19 degree hybrid is interchangeable with my 5 wood, then I go to a 4 iron. But as previously mentioned, you answered your own question…your not great with the 19 and don’t gain much when you do manage to hit it good. For consistency… leave it out.
  21. I love my ASICS running shoes so much that I wear the Gel Ace Pro golf shoes. Love the style, comfort, the fact that they are waterproof and I like the removable spikes. I also have a pair of Ecco, can’t remember which model but they are spikeless and very comfortable as well. Not quite as stylish as the ASICS.
  22. The guy had the clubs in the box ready to ship out!!🙄. I gave him $50 more for the club right there and then less than an hour later sold the head only to a friend and went online and sold the shaft for over $200 like you said.
  23. These trade in places give you absolute crap on upgrades shafts. Guy I know was trading in his Stealth Driver online and they were giving him an additional $25 for the upgraded Ventus Black Velocore. The shaft is a $300 upcharge…. Club was 2 months old… an additional $25.🙄
  24. Just buy the proper adapter for the shaft. The .350 was usually for fairway woods and “maybe” the non Tour model of the RBZ. ( I had one BTW and loved it). Go with the .335
