  1. Whatever the outer coating is(clear coat?) has cracked from impact with the ball. It's not the metal that has cracked. The black paint on the RBZ 3 wood I had did that. Purely cosmetic, but... Purely assumption on my part with your club but I'd have the manufacturer in on it just in case.
  2. It's awful. But that is the attraction. Glad to see them having fun with it.
  3. If you waggle more than once...
  4. Check out TM's site and see what the features are?
  5. Did not have the R11 nor have I hit one. sorry. From what I see the only difference is two settings of open/closed on the face. And to tell you the truth the R11s set at the extremes of open or closed does funky things to the shaft.
  6. I judge all my settings by how they are on the course, not a monitor. I hit the ball very high and yet have my R11s set on highest loft. Go figure. It works for me.
  7. RBZ 3 wood can be pretty hard to hit off the deck if that is a concern. I prefer the R11. Had both. But it depends on what you NEED and only you can answer that when it comes between the choice of a driver or a 3 wood.
  8. Anchored by what? There is no anchoring device just your body. It's not like the thing is strapped(anchored) to you. The thing has been in use for some 40 years? Don't you think it's a bit late to decide the matter now? I think this is dumbest thing. It's all because of one thing.....Tiger isn't winning majors and that is all. Complete agenda bull crap.
  9. And what about REALLY anchoring a short putter against your forearm? That is anchoring!
  10. If they've been hit, I'd at least take few smacks off a mat :)
  11. You don't eat at just one place do you? :)
  12. RBZ 3 wood is phenomenal off the tee! Off the fairway....not so much. Lots of turf drag. I bought one and then traded it for an R11 3 wood. RBZ driver is pretty awesome and so is the R11s. I hit the RBZ irons and thought..............yuck! Unless you are sold on TM, I'd at least give the Cleveland CG16 irons a look. Awesome in my opinion.
  13. It's wonder there isn't a big TW on them too...
  14. Not be rude here but if you are a 22 hc, the problem isn't the clubs. Work on you, not the equipment.
  15. How much effect? Kinda hard to play with out them... New clubs are longer(distance-wise) because they now call a 6 iron a 7 iron. The only true measure of club's worth is your score at the end of the day, not how far you hit them. The problem with "strong clubs", comes with your wedges. Your new PW is really a 9 iron, so now you need a gap wedge to make up the difference and that can lead to shorting yourself in the number of effective wedges you can carry. Don't get caught up in the "longer is better" hype. I got new CG16s and they are made the same...6 iron labeled a 7. I got them because I HIT THEM WELL, not because I "hit them longer"! And yes it did cause a problem with sorting out my wedges.
  16. Speaking of slow play. Just last week we played through a group...........IN A SCRAMBLE!!! It was horrendous watching them.
  17. I and I used to like Rory :). It won't make me want anything-Nike. I currently do not buy anything in the Nike brand and will not as long as Tiger has something to do with them. Adidas shoes are plentiful, as are lots of other golf clubs and clothing brands.
  18. What works for you is what is best and that goes for ALL clubs. I switched to Rossi 2 a long time ago. I recently retired it for a Yes Eleanor. As for the expensive putters, I guess if paying a lot for a putter makes you somehow putt better, then fine. I tried out the putter above and couldn't get past the alignment system. Thought it was ugly and distracting but that is just me. And as far as TM goes, they don't cost any more than anything else, so what's the deal?
  19. There is talk about players suing to keep long putters "legal" for use in the PGA and RNA. What's your take? Here's mine: I abhor most law suits, especially the lawyer-driven class action frivolous types. But I support the players that might sue and here's why. The long putters go back some 40 years! The time to ban them was then. Since they allowed the use of them I feel they are grandfathered in. You notice I call them long putters and not "anchored". I do not feel they are anchored. An anchor is an outside source that anchors it to you like, say a strap. Now, if you say because it touches the body in any other part than the hands and that makes it anchored, then the short putter is anchored also when a person runs the shaft up their forearm and anchors it to the forearm with the hand. That to me is much more anchored than the butt of the club touching the belly. I feel the governing bodies are being reactionary just because some have won majors with it. Big whoop. The time to ban it was when it first came out many, many years ago. Why didn't they "outlaw" big-headed drivers when people started winning with them? Why didn't they ban the glove when people started winning with them(talk about an anchoring mechanism!). No, I do not use a long putter and doubt I ever will. I think they are awkward at best. I hope the players follow through with this because in my mind it is more about being reactionary than "protecting the game". Let it fly...
  20. Only when the hole is full of water and no I dont mess up the hole.
  21. Personally I think the Camerons are over-priced "look what I have" items. Hit what works for you, if that includes a Cameron or other high-priced putter. I thought I was a blade person also until I got an Odyssey Rossie 2. I used it for years and just replaced it with a Yes Eleanor. No, I don't put the ! after the Yes. I think that is just goofy :) The Eleanor is kind of a combination of a blade and a mallet. Worth trying out. One plus, it's great for picking balls up...lol. One minus, you can't get a ball out of the hole with it.
  22. I just came to the realization with my old set that I just couldn't consistently hit a draw with the 4 iron and just played the fade. I know that doesn't work for all situations but "play what you know will happen" sometimes is the best advice. My new set is completely different however and I can work the ball either way with all the irons. Went from KZG ZO to Cleveland CG16 and not too proud to admit it. Love the new irons.
  23. Yup, rotate left hand to the right when gripping the club and that will help cure a fade or initiate a draw.(right-handed hitter)
