  1. I buy cheap balls and use whatever I can find. I lose about 6+ balls per round, so cheap or found ranks high on my list. Next time I need balls, I will buy some used AAA ones. I just think you get killed on shipping.
  2. I have a 2H. I use it over the 5W because it is more versatile....good off the tee, fairway and out of the rough. I had a 2I. Hit it a little shorter than my 3I. Didn't make sense for me to keep it in the bag.
  3. They can have my golf clubs and the $20 I have in my pocket. Goody. I get to go out and buy new clubs!
  4. Interesting question. I had my irons length increased by 1" after a fitting. The fitter also increased the length of my wedges. This also changed the swingweight. After a little bit of adjustment, I like them. Of course as soon as I did this, I switched wedges and had to lengthen the new one. Went from 50,56, 61 to 53, 59.
  5. OMG. Your putter is a PGA T-line? I have one of those!!!
  6. I ground with everything...even in hazards if no one is looking. It helps me, along with practice swings, to get the right swing path and contact with the ground. I still need that reinforcement on where the ground is.
  7. I have to say that I was a skeptic hearing all of the love for Camerons. Collecting them, sending them in to be authenticated, customized, etc...hundreds of dollars...then to own several. Kooky. But then a guy I worked with offered me one for $125. I bought it and it really is great. I am not the greatest putter, but it easily will take 5 strokes off my awful game. It is amazing. I am not sure what it is, but I am much better with it than the last 10 putters that didnt work for me.
  8. I never used my 3 iron until I got properly fitted. 2* up and +1". Before that, it went the same distance as my 4. Now, I really like hitting it. Great confidence and much better predictability of where the ball will go as compared to my 2H or 3H. I have tried many different hybrids, Ping, Nickent, MacTec, Callaway Heavenwood, Cobra Baffler, Callaway Fusion...while they are easy to hit, I have great variability on how far they go. I am most likely hitting them wrong. I still have a Cobra and Fusion 2H and 3H respectively, but will not remove the Ping G2 3HL iron. I had to remove a wedge to keep a hybrid and the 3HL. I used to have PW(47), UW (50.5), SW(56), LW(61), now I have PW, 53, 59. While it is a luxury to have 4 wedges, I usually leave the cart with the wrong one. I am gonna work on doing everything around the green with the 59.
  9. I have bought from them. I got a single club that the lie angle wasn't mentioned. It turned out to be very upright. They refunded my money, but I had to pay return shipping if I remember correctly.
  10. I have bought from them a handful of times and I will continue to buy from Proline Preowned or Callaway Preowned. With all the fakes out there, it is nice to know you are getting authentic with a money back guarantee if there's something wrong and 90% back if you use them and dont like them. If you find a deal on their website, the club condition is better than they rate the club. If you find a deal that they have on eBay, it starts even lower than the website price. And if it doesn't sell on eBay, they'll relist it at a lower price. I am always scanning for their stuff on the website and ebay. I have bought: Ping G5 iron set, Callaway BB06 iron set, Ping Tour wedge, FT-3 Driver. Actually 2 of the 4 items I bought arrived and were not listed correctly. A wrong bounce on the wedge and a non-matching iron in the ping set. I called customer service and they gave me the choice of a partial refund to keep the clubs or to pick up the item and refund all of my money (incl. shipping.) I know 2 out of 4 orders wrong seems bad, but the quality was there, price was there, authenticity there, the items were just ms-listed. And like I said, customer service is ecxeptional and it is really a no risk purchase. It is tough to say that nowadays without spending top dollar somewhere. They are my top used online golf equipment source.

  12. What works for me is to keep my hands in front of my chest until the top, and then basically lock that triangle of my arms and chest on the way down. So my back starts the downswing by allowing my hands to fall straight down, maintaining that triangle as long as possible until the club whips through the ball. The club should be moving fastest about 6 inches past the ball. I do not pull down with my arms. When I do that, I am "swinging from the top" and "swatting at the ball." Swinging with my arms also causes me to try to time my hip movements, my wrist release and clubface angle, swing angle and even followthrough angle. I do not have the coordination to pull that off. Maintaining the triangle of your arms and chest at the top for as long as possible, makes all those things happen naturally. That is what you want. To have as much as possible happen naturally. This way you can concentrate on aiming and shaping instead of having your head filled with just trying to make good contact with the ball.
  13. Why no graphite wedges? Anyhow, I had graphite before and snapped off a 3 iron. I was told that irons should be made of steel because they are meant to hit the ground. (ducks to avoid another Everardo rebuttal.) I am sure it is crap, but I use steel because it is good and cheap. If I had the opportunity to buy a set of clubs that were steel or graphite in stiff flex, I'd take the graphite for a spin.
