  1. I love playing courses that are 7000 yards or longer. The longer the better IMO. Most of the courses in my area are long and tough. From the tips, the range is 7000-7500. I love them
  2. honestly, i am inspired by every tour pro out there. i mean they are living my dream. i cant get enough of watching pro golf. its the best thing in the world to me. Im a huge tiger fan, so he inspires me the most. I even model my practice schedule and routine to him. and honestly, it has helped my game out GREATLY!!!
  3. id be pissed if someone did that to me. its one thing if they come to me and ask "hey can i hit your new irons" AFTER ive gotten to hit them
  4. hahahah this thread is great!!! from my first tee shot, to the last putt, im constantly talking to myself about my game...or if im not talking to myself, im talking to my golf ball
  5. nothing wrong with wanting to look nice on the course. ill admit it. i have a closet full of nike polos. probably around 15-20 or so different polos. i am a big fan of golf apparel and i am always buying new clothes. i like to look good on the course. and yes, ill actually plan out my "outfit" before i go to the course.
  6. Always love going to the practice rounds. I always choose those over the pro am days.
  7. I only have a few major goals for this year. Being that i am posting this in may, ill give my goals i want to have accomplished by the end of this year. 1. Win a tournament 2. Find a sponsor to cover my entry fees and travel expenses. 3. Consistently make money on my mini tour im involved with 4. Be in position to start 2010 playing golf fulltime, for my career. I know #4 sounds very far fetched, but honestly to me its not. I practice daily, and have a full practice facility at my disposal to use daily. So I wont have any issues improving my game, and working on it daily. I really want to make golf my career. I might not make it all the way and tee it up on the PGA Tour, but in the state of Florida, there are so many different mini-tours now that it is very easy for a person with a good golf game to play full time and be successful. And by being successful on these mini tours, its only going to open the door for me to move my way up and work towards teeing it up with the big boys
  8. anytime me and my friends play golf, we play as if we were in the final group of the masters and the world is watching us... honestly we follow all the rules...no mulligans...no improving the lies. nothing like that. we are all trying to make it big, so we play as if we were in a tournament. cant take a free drop or roll the ball for a better lie on tour, so we dont do it now.
  9. looks like i have myself a new practice schedule!!! not even kidding, i copied and pasted this and sent it to my phone.
  10. i have a golf galaxy 5 minutes from my house, im literally in that store about 4-5 times a week hahah..if i get bored, ill take a drive over and hit some new stuff. im good friends with all the guys that work in the store, and the pga teaching professional at the store is my swing coach, so needless to say i get some awesome deals and i get free roam of the swing room and whatever clubs i wanna hit. i always suggest golf galaxy to everyone. they take care of their customers, have the best prices, and always have good staff

    golf dream

not even kidding one bit, i have golf related dreams every night
  12. hes not firing anyone. tiger just needs rounds under his belt, and everything will start clicking like the old tiger. he hasnt played good at augusta since they did the re model back in 01. so it was not a shock to me that he didnt win. he just needs to get a streak of some good rounds of putting going, build that confidence back up.
  13. naples is the golf capital of the world...well to a certain extent we have more golf courses per capita here than anywhere else in the world. its a golfers paradise down here thats for sure. but yes, like you said, you MUST shoot low all the time to be considered a "good" golfer in naples. plenty of people here are trying to do the exact same thing as me, so i have some tough competition.
  14. that is so true. its amazing how much dedication can improve your game, and really having a strong mental attitude towards the game of golf
  15. We have a TON of mini tour action down here!!! Currently I am playing on the florida minor league golf tour, which is a very good mini tour that plays all over the state, offers 1, 2, and 3 day events, and has very low entry fees with fantastic payouts!!
  16. ive got it. never will i delete it!!! i still watch it alot actually, bout once or twice every few days ill watch certain parts of it.
  17. i know im not the first one to tell you this but my god do you have an awesome golf swing bro
  18. neither have I. sounds weird, but could be fun!! not my style of tournament tho thats for sure
  19. good for you man!!! thats awesome!!! the best feeling in the world is having a good practice session. i LOVE that!!
  20. yet another reason im glad i live in florida, i dont have to shake the winter swing bugs haha..
  21. this will sound weird, but go to sams club. they have pga brand clothes for dirt cheap
  22. I am lucky enough to work at a golf course, so i have that at my disposal whenever i want. I take golf very seriously, so i practice daily. This is what my practice routine for the week looks like. And i apologize for being so indepth haha.. Monday--Normally work from 7a-2p. So at 2 i head to the putting green, and roll some putts for about 20-30 minutes atleast. After that, go to the range, hit balls for about 45 minutes. If i am playing, ill head out to the course after the range. If i am not playing, i head to the practice green and hit 100 yard shots to work on my wedges for about 30-40 minutes. After that, back to the putting green for another 30 minutes or so. Then one last session over at the range, and this normally lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on how im feeling. Tuesday---day off. Normally at the course by 10. Right to the range for a good hour or so of hitting balls. Then work on bunker shots. Then to the putting green. And then we normally tee off somewhere by 2pm. Wednesday---work 7a-2p. Wednesday is strictly putting and short game day. Spend a good 2 hours working on the short game, then play 9 holes atleast after that. Thursday---day off. At the course by atleast 10 again, then i do nothing but hit 150-175 yard shots for a good hour or so. Then to the putting green to work on some drills. Then we try to tee it up somewhere by 1 Friday---work 7a-2p. Putting. As much as I can. Ill hit a bag of balls, but i devote fridays to putting and only putting. Then try to play atleast 9 before i go home. Saturday---work 7a-11a. Play atleast 18, but over the last few weeks we've been playing atleast 27 since its tourney season and all the snowbirds are back home. Sunday---work 12p-5p. After I am done, 2.5 hours at the range working on a combo of wedges and the full bag. Like i said sorry for the indepth rant haha. I have found that if you make a schedule and stick to it, not only will your game improve drastically, but it will give you something to look forward to every day, and makes practice fun. My friend and I are seriously trying to go pro, so we take this pretty seriously and we honestly have devoted our lives to golf. I really recommend to everyone, make a schedule and stick to it. It will work, I promise.
  23. driver 5 iron 7 iron p wedge putter
  24. well...finding a public course in my area is hard. i live in naples, florida. or better known as "private golf course capital of the world" i do have a few public courses i play. those start at $40 for 18, depending on what time of day it is. plus, all the tourists and snow birds are in town, so golf is even more expensive during this time of year
  25. http://www.tiburongcnaples.com/ just moved here so this is my only course ive played....but i do consider it my home course for now
