NXT Tour vs NXT Tour S
SprayTech replied to zeke4351's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I actually like the NXT Tour S , I get more roll out on fairways with the NXT Tour S , and I can still stop it on the greens . Plus I like the price better . I actually think it plays better then the Bridgestone e5 . -
Every one hates slow play and my 4some tries to alter the pace to the group in front of us too , but sometimes it doesnt always work . But I feel alot has to do with courses ( Public mostly ) making the play slow , 4-6 inch rough along fairways when 2-3 inches will do , riding or walking to the ball makes for finding the ball faster , you dont have every guy stomping around trying to find a lost ball for 15 minutes , or better yet widen the fairway cut , as most weekend warriors have problems with 2 inch rough , cut the fairways all the way to the front of all greens so a ball has a chance to either roll up to the green , or if it comes up short he can at least putt it from off the green , not every hacker can chip and fly the ball onto the green over the rough , they either hit it fat or skull it across the green therefore taking more time to putt out . Not everyone can play a PGA style set up course , but thats just my take on slow play .

GolfTec Golf Lessons - Feedback, Discussion
SprayTech replied to chauvotsm's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I am 4 months into my 6 month lessons . I was a little leery about it but went to the evaluation and seen just how bad my swing really was , ( everyone thought I had a nice swing too ) . This is not for the weak at heart , its a full on swing rebuild from the ground up and you better be ready for it or it will never work for you , especially for the price . Plus its a marathon not a sprint for me as 30 years of my old swing habits and trying to get the body to do what my coach wants me to do is a tough action at times , but its baby steps . There have been a few rounds where I was so disgusted with the way I was playing I was ready to quit the game , but my coach must be a bit of a psychologist and can make me look forward to playing again , whether bad or good . I know with my old swing I would of never gotten better or with any consistency , my coach asked what I wanted out of my game after the evaluation , I told him , and he gave a laid out program . So I went with it . All I know is I am looking forward to next season . I did win my Mens club championship ( after just 4 lessons ) and that was with 2 , 32 handicappers in the field , and I beat them by 1 shot with my 10 hc. , I shot an 80 with 2 penalties ! Won a trophy and $150 bucks :-) So yea I am happy with my GolfTec lessons so far . -

Anchored Putters Rules Change (Effective January 1, 2016)
SprayTech replied to mvmac's topic in Rules of Golf
Its also why the USGA & R&A; had to stop the limit of the length of driver shafts to 48" , because I remember Black Rocks Killer Bee was getting ridiculously long . Gary Player was competing in the seniors with something like a 54" driver to stay competitive , I also remember some LPGA girls were using the 50" long drivers too , and that was a smaller headed Ti driver . AND they were reaching out there almost 300 yards with a balata ball . Now look ,Pro's dont need a long shaft with these big headed drivers to hit those 300+ bombs ! . Think what they would be hitting with a 460CC head with a 54" shaft and these new balls if they didnt put a stop to the length ? I think the anchoring rule is a bit late IMO , its why its such a big controversy now . Companies will continue to push the envelope of the rules , but some slip through and pass the rules , but then when it starts to hurt the integrity of the game , they need to put a stop to it . I also remember the groove ruling , PIng used a different way to interpret the groove measuring rule and was able to get more grooves in the face of an iron , as most were still making V grooves . That was a mess for sure , but everyone got over it , same as this anchoring ruling will . The faster they put it in play the faster the anger will dissipate . Its like picking a scab for the next 4 years , and having to listen to the commentators harping on it , it will just continue to bleed ! -
Anchored Putters Rules Change (Effective January 1, 2016)
SprayTech replied to mvmac's topic in Rules of Golf
The only thing that looks bad is that anchor rule was always there , but they have let it go on for almost 30 years , and NOW decide to make a decision ? They should of stopped it long before now IMO , would of been alot less controversy ! -
Which balls are similar to the Bridgestone E6?
SprayTech replied to Artimas's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Srixon Q-Star is supposed to be like the e6 . Comes in White and yellow I believe . -
Are Hybrids worth the extra money $$$?
SprayTech replied to hacker101's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I have been playing the Adams V3 forged set since they came out and play the 3h-6h , I have went away from the irons and now hit 7-SW in the Ping i20's , but the hybrids are staying , I just hit them way to well to ever consider taking them out of the bag . They hit high and straight and the ball checks up with them ( they have very sharp grooves ) , never have any roll out . They have this very solid "TINK" when hit solid , and even miss hits I get good results . Plus every person I have played with that has hit them end up buying 1 or 2 . I also like the versatility of the hybrids around the greens and they just rip a ball out of the rough . I have hit the Ping Anser hybrids at my local GolfTec and if they weren't so darned expensive I would have them in my bag ! When I was looking for a new set to replace my Callaway X14 Pros ( 2010 ) , my local Pro said to look for a set with hybrids as they are like stealing shots around the course , well I feel he was right . Dont think I will ever go back to long irons ! -
I have switched mostly to Yellow balls as I wear Oakley Perscription sunglasses with the FireLenses and I can track them so much easier in the air all the way to the ground , white I have a hard time tracking a white ball through the air once it gets to about 30 feet from hitting the ground . Plus I know which is mine playing with my 4 some . ( when I out drive them )

I dont play in cold below 40deg. as my lungs cant handle the cold as every year I get walking pneumonia and takes 2-4 months to get over it . But I have purchased Columbia's Omni-heat compression shirt and an Omni-heat half zip pull over , man these things work ! In Kansas we usually have quite abit of wind if you want to play in the cold too ! Wear the Zero Restriction winter gloves too . I am also going to buy a Mobile Warming heated shirt or jacket , expensive but I am like a turtle , I need to crawl on a hot rock to get warm ..... LOL http://www.columbia.com/Omni-Heat®-Reflective-Gear/Collection_Omni-Heat_Reflective,default,pg.html http://www.mobilewarminggear.com/MW/index.php

I used to be in the best shape of my life between the ages of 12-17 , rode my 10 speed 8 miles every day in the summer to the swimming pool , swim for 5 hours , then rode home ! Man what I would give to be in that shape again at 52 ! ............. And when I didnt feel like riding to the pool I shot the rapids in an inner tube as the Rogue River ( Grants Pass , Ore . ) was my back yard !

Depending on how bad the damage is , yes they can be repaired . Now whats crazy is all the new types of thin High strength steel , depending on the type of steel , it now needs replaced or skined .

I have been an Automotive Paint Re-Finisher for 35 years now , some ones got to keep everyones car's they wreck pretty !!!

My bag makeup is a Ping G20 driver , TM 2.0 4 wood , Adams V3 3h-6h hybrids with the Bassara 60g graphite shafts in reg. , 7-LW Ping i20 irons . I hit my Adams V3 hybrids so solid its crazy for me to even consider taking them out of my bag . When you hit them in the sweet spot they have this nice solid sounding tink sound , even misses still get very good carry . They just fly high and straight . Another thing is the ball will flat check up with these hybrids too . I have hit the new Ping Anser hybrids and would switch in a minute , but my wallet says otherwise ! I am not a long hitter but I hit the 6h -160 , 5h -170 , 4 -180 , and 3h -190 .

Thought I better say hello , I am 52 and have played for 30+ years now , quit for a 6 year period from 2004-2010 , and stopped in at my buddies 9 hole course in July of 2010 to see how he was doing and he got me back into playing by giving me a 6 month free pass to get my butt back on the course . Well he got me hook , line , and sinker back into the game and enjoying it . Try and get out and play several rounds a week and got my GHIN down to a 9.3 this season , hope to get it lower as I am rebuilding my whole swing through GolfTec and its been a big help these past few months . Any way Happy Golfing !

PING Anser driver adjustable ferrule
SprayTech replied to cliffj's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I am a member at a couple of other golf forums and the rumor has it this place is supposed to start making the Ping Aluminum Adapters in the near future . billybobsgolf.com Thought I would join and tell the members here what I have read and hopefully it is true . They sure sell every other manufacturers adapters . I hope this rumor is true as I am going to purchase an Anser driver and have a few shafts I too would like to try out in the Anser head . Have found a few Anser Adaptors on ebay but wow , they want $100 bucks for them . A bit pricy for my blood .
