  1. I am 100% going to read this book in the near future... Some suggestions on the best way to get the book? ie. cheapest internet? bookstore? torrent? etc...
  2. I once lipped out for an ace and then 6 putted for a crowd pleasing 7
  3. Only focus on the things you can control. Getting mad only accomplishes one thing: it gets you mad. Start any round with goals in mind and try to accomplish those withing the round. thats about all one can do....
  4. Played on the weekend, saturday shot 77 2 birdies, 2 double, 6 bogeys Overall satisfied with it, I have not been playing much I showed a lot of rust.

    Lessons

I want to get on some sort of lesson schedule over the winter. My season is pretty much over now and will pick up again in the spring ( mid may-ish). This gives me about 6 months (ugh) of off time. maybe like 1 lesson a month? I do not know what my goals are eithor, I want to improve, I know that much. I am a low hcper so I think putting is something that needs work. I feel good about my ball striking abilities.
  6. You must be the big dog to put the 1 iron in the bag.
  7. Just shows how precious life is, go out and live! hold nothing back!
  8. In all my years of playing I have come across 1 person who could get it out there 300 yards and was a terrible golfer. The closer this guy got to the hole, the worse he got. If you can hit it 300 yds and are still a 20 hcp - sell your clubs
  9. On par 3's I go for the hole everytime no matter what it seems. Althought I play par 3's worse than par 4 or 5's. I would really benefit from taking a little extra time on the tee shot, I play other holes better because on par 4 and 5s you can recover with your second shot. Par 3's are more intense because there is not much recovery from a bad tee shot.
  10. Good Luck! have fun playing I want to offer you two tips that will honestly help you out so much: Grip: Get a solid grip, watch good players grips and see how it differs from yours, and then copy them! Preshot Routine: Layout something repeatable that can hold up under any pressure, you need to have the SAME routine on all shots. When you own these two things you will own your game
  11. Have Fun! Set out a preshot routine you want to focus on and execute that everyshot. Sticking to a preshot routine is one of the few things you have control over in the game so make the best of it!
  12. I changed my grip this season to a much stronger, interlocking grip. (I am lefty but this mirrors my top hand) Left is new grip, Right is old: http://www.golfdigest.com/images/ins...r01_watson.jpg This made me hit the ball so much more solid. I can't even stress how much better contact I make now. I find myself hitting par 5's in 2 and having so many more wedges into par 4's. I believe so much of the game lies in the grip. I took a lesson this season and I wish I changed sooner. I took it to heart and changed, it was a BRUTAL process, but worth it! Please share some thoughts and comments on your own grip and the grip in general.
  13. I never improve my lies. I always play it as is, I improve when I play different lies. It gives me variety in the shots I have to play and also makes it interesting. Don't fight it, it hurts more when you fight it!
  14. You can take relief from the post, no closer to the hole. Then once that is accomplished, you MAY have to take relief again from a cart path. This is perfectly acceptable and within the rules.
  15. Comical really, Sue Him!
  16. Yeah I definatly wear that! Someone mentioned it before - look good, feel good, play good.
  17. I find this is happening to me. I find it hard to get a good game with people at my club. Usually when I get paired up with randoms I get to hit my second shot on a hole by the time they hit 3. That is fine, but thats why I enter tournaments to get better competition.
  18. I never lay up, ever To be honest I find it rare that I come across a chance to have to decide.
  19. If I had to guess it would be no. I was also told that its not worth it to bend the hossel (sp?) because it really creates strain on the club and weakens it much more than normal wear and tear.
  20. I recently bought a new set, and was asked if i wanted to get them fit. Of course I did. so, I hit every iron with tape on the bottom. The result was I was told not to change a thing.
  21. I would say hit the weights, and totally tear your hands apart, then once they heal you will be good for a long time

I would like to play on a tour. I will practice and prepare to win every tournament I enter next season.
  24. It was a course in Canada, I doubt it will be on Google earth with good enough resolution to tell tho, I will try and post what I find!
  25. I was playing the other weekend at a new course and I came to the 17th hole, it read 342 yards on the card. It was a dogleg left curving pretty severly, there was a powerpole to the left of the tee, at this point or the round I didn't really care I went for the green. The green was not visable from the tee, but after I hit my teeball I heard the group ahead yelling! I was thinking, it must be close to them. It ended up on the green about 12 feet away from the hole. I narrowly missed the eagle, taped in for birdie. This drive is definatly in my top 10 best shots ever
