  1. I have never read this book, but I am considering purchasing it. I am going to one of Dave Pelz's short game clinic's and then I will probably purchase the book, because I am tired of being on in regulation and 3 putting.
  2. My best recommendation if you can't make solid contact is to keep your head stable throughout the swing, and imagine that you are clipping the ball into the ground on the downswing, which will really pop the ball up.
  3. I personally am about a 15 handicap and I play a 3 and 4 hybrid. I can hit a 3 or 4 iron nearly as well, but I feel more comfortable that I am going to get the ball up and straight with my hybrid, than I would with a low iron. It's personal preference, but for any new golfer or one with a high handicap I would recommend hybrids.
  4. For my birthday I was given 4 dozen Pro V1's that were bought at a local used golf ball warehouse. The ones that I recieved were $18 per dozen and were considered "A" quality balls. I can't go wrong paying this price for Pro V1's but I wanted to know if it would be smarter to be playing cheaper new golf balls or these used Pro V1's. From my understanding these balls come are removed from the water, and I always have wondered if that affects ball flight/quality. I could also consider purchasing new Pro V1's but at $45 a dozen that sounds absurd. I also did notice that on probably 70% of the balls there is a slight discoloration but the quality is perfect. I will probably use up these balls and then start purchasing a mid-quality ball. I should probably consider using my Maxfli Noodle's that I purchased about 6 months ago and have not opened yet.
  5. I have never missed the ball, but I have a few times tapped the ball off of the tee before my shot.
  6. Cobra FP irons, 5-LW. I personally like them considering I recently took up golf, and plan on using them for a few years until I feel the need to upgrade so some higher quality blades.
  7. Odyssey White Hot XG #9 34"
  8. My only bit of advice is to not get new clubs, and do not get ladies clubs. I'm much younger than you and I am sure MUCH weaker than you and I swing regular flex mens shafts. I would not purchase graphite shafts for irons unless you're very old and unable to swing steel shafts. I have noticed almost no difference in my father's 20 year old Ping irons and my 3 month old Cobra Irons, which is why I say do not get new clubs unless you begin playing a lot and feel that they will be beneficial to your game. Otherwise, there is not much of a difference in the irons, but new woods would be something to consider.
  9. Those prices seem quite high, considering that I have a local Used Golf Ball Warehouse in which I can purchase a dozen Titleist Pro V1's for $14 in MINT condition. Here's the location information of the store. http://www.golflink.com/golf-stores/...asp?store=1530
  10. I use the King Cobra FP 2007 Pitching Wedge, Gap Wedge, Sand Wedge, and Lob Wedge. I love all of them and I have no complaints.
  11. I've had woods re-shafted for $15 before at my local golf shop.
  12. I love my 3 iron, and I couldn't see myself playing without it.
  13. Ahh, I see. I couldn't find the option either, because I am not permitted to create one. How do I recieve permission to create a sig?
  14. I recently switched from my r580xd to the Simpac S-Cube D1 9 lofted driver. No complaints, everything is going straight and 250+.
