  1. 56* from about 40 yards out. Hit about 1 ft. right of the cup and didn't budge. It was sweet that it was on #18
  2. I'm a sophomore in high school, and play golf for school and on a junior tour. I read on my tour (National Junior Golf Club) website that I should start writing letters to universities this school year. Just wondering if you guys have any suggestions about getting looked at by D-1 schools, and what it will take. TIA
  3. 37+41=78... for the second day in a row. Only hit three greens. lol. But with that said, it wasn't bad
  4. 78 today at the home course, with 26 putts and 3 penalty strokes... crazy
  5. Shot 82 in a match today and won medalist. Course was soaked though.. made it tough on the wedge shots
  6. I think what makes the American guys play better without TW, is that a lot of them are maybe a little intimidated of him, and don't look as him as a "peer". Thus making the team a little awkward. Maybe he's TOO GOOD to be a good teammate? Sounds crazy but that's my opinion.
  7. Bought a new 56* Vokey today from my clubhouse today, so I got in some practice with it this afternoon. Shot a disappointing 40, with a dub on the last hole. I was so happy with golf! (but I really love that wedge)
  8. I listen to my iPod on the way to the tournament, and sometimes on the range. I always pray before I go out on the course, and I practice on the putting green with the exact same ball I will use in the round
  9. Thats sweet man. I drove a par four in high school this year while people were on the green. haha. I thought it was funny b/c they were all seniors and I was a freshman, and I hit into them up there. It's a great feeling to hit a shot like that, but it sounds like yours was better than mine! Congrats
  10. Here in NC, we have tons of pines. So I hung up a big net, and ordered a commercial-quality piece of astroturf. Then got a ghetto light fixture. Spotlight stuck on top of a shovel, plant the shovel in the ground near the mat, and hit away!
  11. Yea I second the junior tourney. But it's gona have to be near the east coast for me. I will help set something up. just need some suggestions for date, place, age limit, etc.
  12. I borrowed our club pro's to test drive one week. I liked it and could put it out there about 280 on my good swings, so I would say the technology is good. But I agree with the other guys, it is fairly small. However, compared to the three wood you have been using, I think it would only be an improvement from what you have been hitting...
  13. Shot 79 at my home course this afternoon. (38,41) Had seven pars and two bogeys on the front, and the back was crazy. par, par, par, par, double bogey(three putt from 4 feet), double bogey, bogey, bogey, birdie. haha at least my last hole was nice. Even though I hit the ball horrible on the back nine, I only took 12 putts, so that really kept the round sub-80.
  14. Sounds cool. I there was one in NC, VA, or SC, I would definitely play. I love competition golf
  15. I love for people to watch me off the tee. I use it as positive energy, as a chance to "show-off", b/c I hit it farther than most kids my age
  16. Ok so I'm at the NJGC National Championship yesterday and CATCH THE SHANKS! Everything going out right... Shot 98. Worst in years... So today I came out in the last round this morning and shot a decent 83. Really tough course. Still don't know what place I came in, but i know it wasn't last!
  17. Weir is winning. He shot -10 61! And he did it w/o the beard!
  18. I have been able to complete most of my goals so far, and some I havn't will have to wait until next year. 1) My driving accuracy has improved over 7 percent since March, as well as my GIR. 2) I have broken 80 7 or 8 times since then, and shot 80 on the bubble numerous times. 3) I improved my confidence by practicing way more, and reading some mental books. 4) I DID NOT make the top four in my conference as a freshman, but I did come in 5th. And I qualified for regionals, but not state. 5) I did gain some experience in tournament play by competing in the NJGC this summer. I actually qualified for the National championship too. So that's something I didn't even set as a goal. My handicap has improved from a 13 to a 7.8, and a 7.1 at my home course!
  19. I've had three in the three seasons i've played golf, with two coming this season. And thankfully, I had a witness for each of them Suprisingly though, they were all made with a putter. I've never jarred one from the fairway
  20. Yea I wanted to go, but I'll definitely be watching on TGC
  21. Bogeying the first four holes and ending up with an +2 38
  22. I don't think Paddy shot 32 on the back Sunday by "screwing up"
  23. Shot 76 at a local course yesterday, and shot 82 today at Heritage Golf Club in an NJGC Tour event, finished T3.
  24. I would think I could shoot low 100's, but idk. I like tough courses in competition. Not for an everyday score, but i compete well on tough tracks IMO.
  25. 9 iron from the rough from about 150 yards out, and stuck it to about 5 feet. Cool thing was I made the putt
