  1. Low for a cut, higher for a draw. I never tee low enough for the ball to be even with the driver head though. The ball is always above the top of the driver.

    Luke list wow

I agree with this too. Driving accuracy at least on tour doesn't mean as much anymore. The accurate guys like Toms and Furyk are the shorter hitters on tour. Guys like Bubba and Woodland hit it so far, they just don't care if its in the rough. 425 yard par 4. Hit it 275 in the fairway and have 150 left or hit it 345 in the rough and have 80 yards left. It seems that the long ( and usually inaccurate) hitters have been having plenty of success recently.
  3. Jeep Wrangler
  4. Ill take the Packers, Colts, Seahawks and Texans.
  5. where are you in south jerz? I work in mt laurel, live in philly. Cape May

    Luke list wow

That's pretty incredible distance. Ill be watching for him at the Sony.
  7. Two guys on my high school team played college golf at small D1 schools, nothing crazy. They were not the best players on their teams and were both +1 to +1.5 players then. I don't know about D2 schools but I would think a 3 hcp index would be close to what one would need.
  8. Here in South New Jersey, we have been between 34-42 degrees the last couple weeks. About the same temp and wind as Ocean City, MD. If you are just trying to whack the ball and avoid snow North Jersey might work for you.
  9. I agree that there is a slow play issue at most public courses and I am one that is bothered by the issue. I have for the most part seen the problem with courses rather than players though. I understand that there are guys that are slower than others, no argument there. But from my experience at least where I'm from, courses put too much play on the course (meaning tees are backed up from the beginning of the round). This is a problem that I don't see changing because courses are out to make money and refuse to turn it down. I do like the idea that you are suggesting though, anything that picks up the players pace is a good thing.
  10. Welcome to the site!!! I'm new here as we'll and there is a great wealth of knowledge on the forum. There is a substantial difference between blades and cavity back irons to me. You'll gain workability and accuracy with a blade vs distance and forgiveness with the cavitys. You have to judge yourself as a player and see what direction to take. As for your buddy's irons. Hit them and then go demo some new clubs. See what you like better and compare the price difference. Do your buddy's clubs match up for you as far as lie angle and shaft type?
  11. I haven't heard that rumor with Rory and Nike but I haven't been searching for it either. As for Cink, his game has been hurting.
  12. I have tried this drill. It's a great drill for bringing pressure to the practice green. Once I get to the 7 foot range, I get nervous about missing.
  13. 1. Be the best husband and father I can be. 2. Buy a new house (and sell the current one) 3. Keep trimming that handicap 4. Practice golf more 5. Really get back into a good fitness routine. (Slacked too much in 2012) 6. Enjoy the little things more Happy New Years all, hope its better than 2012 for everyone.
  14. I'm wondering how much practice time you guys devote per week. If you do practice, how do you break it down. Do you have a certain routine? I currently practice about an hour a day. It is almost all devoted to putting as it is by far my weakest area. I also play about 2 rounds a week. I'm looking for ideas from other players so I can maximize my results.
  15. Like has been said, both are great balls. I play the Penta because it seems to fit me better. I have also found that the penta cover holds up better for me over the course of a round.
  16. Tebow isn't a starter because he's just not that good. Great athlete no doubt just not a great quarterback. He doesn't have the accuracy or the arm strength for the NFL. The wildcat has been figured out by teams that now prepare for it and it just doesn't work against good defenses. If I was a coach and had Tebow on my team, I would make him shed all that weight he put on. Get him down to 220-230 pounds and try him out in the slot postition. I think that could maximize his talents. He'd get the ball off the line quickly, already running and then let him do what he does.
  17. To the OP, no, it has to be propery marked.
  18. I normally putt out if: 1. I absolutely won't interfer with anothers line. 2. Its under 2'. I don't like to think about those distances for too long.
  19. I along with my Dad, brother and uncle always tee it up on Easter Sunday and then watch the Masters together. We play most Sundays together though, so it's not much of a change from the ordinary I guess.
  20. I would say no. I am going to retire in my mid 40's though. My plan is to go all in and try to make the champions tour or at least try to qualify for some events.
  21. I just recently went to a belly putter. I usually read greens pretty well but with my other putters (conventional) I had a problem blocking shorter putts (under 5 feet). I practiced a lot to fix it but decided to try the belly option. It has helped but I practice quite a bit with it. Only down fall to the belly for me is judging pace on longer putts.
  22. Signed up.
  23. I like to get out by myself sometimes. Hit different shots and work on things. It's relaxing.
  24. Guys that use an entire basket of range balls on the putting green. Then leave them there and go to the first hole.
  25. I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum. I am looking to book a golf getaway to Ocean City, MD. My family has a time share so we don't have to pay for rooming. I'm looking for a golf only package but am striking out on the Internet searches. Do any of you know of a good site that has golf only packages. I would prefer to not have to speak with an agent off the bat. They don't let up on the emails/phone calls. Thanks in advance.
