Is a bogey player and likes Callaway's... -
To each thier own, but I love my 588's. I like the softer feel and they spin just enough. There is nothing more disapointing then hitting a great shot but having it spin back off the green or in a bad spot. My 588's hit then stop, I can spin them back just fine but they are much more controlable.

Be aware if you bought them at Golfsmith, I think they won't give you 100% back for them. They have a set amount that you get and you put towards a new set or whatever from the store. I could be wrong, but I think I read that somewhere. 1. The Golfsmith 90/90 Playability Guarantee is valid 90 days from the receipt date. The Receipt MUST be presented with the originally purchased item to obtain 90% in-store credit. 2. Clubs returned after the 90-day period and without the original receipt will be handled under the Trade-In Program. 3. The Golfsmith 90/90 Playability Guarantee is valid on NEW club purchases only (does not apply to pre-owned / used clubs). Boxed sets with woods and irons combined are excluded. 4. Clubs can only be exchanged for new clubs. No cash will be refunded. 5. Custom Club orders, including clubs that are built to non-standard specifications or clubs that are altered from the original manufacturer’s specifications, do not qualify. 6. Any clubs returned without components (such as weights, wrenches, etc.) do not qualify. 7. Clubs returned with excessive wear or permanent damage (e.g. pop-up marks, dings, chips, etc.) do not qualify. 8. The Golfsmith 90/90 Playability Guarantee may only be returned once in association with the original purchase. After which, returns will be handled under our Trade-In Program. 9. Golfsmith reserves the right to modify this program at any time without notification.

My R7 is a 10.5*. I hit it very high, but I get 275 carry and about 10-20 yards of roll. I wanted a 9.5* but I settled for the 10.5 due to it being only $90....
-
Last time I was at a golfsmith they had about 30 TM R7 draws. You should be able to find them easily. I use an R7 460 and I went from carrying a drive from 245 with my old driver to carrying it 275 with the R7. You should definitly try out as many as you can and make a correct purchase. May the force be with you.....lol

I personally love my irons, but you probably should stick with your pings. Or step up the ping line.
-
You are probably coming to far inside to far outside with your swing. Possibly try a more upright stance? I have them every so often too, I feel for you.

Whatever happened to him, did you see that duck hook? Man he has really lost it..... :(

Golf Rule question: Deep-sixed ball ... into the green?
skierbri10 replied to twotacosfor99cents's topic in Golf Talk
16-1 b. Lifting and Cleaning Ball A ball on the putting green may be lifted and, if desired, cleaned. The position of the ball must be marked before it is lifted, and the ball must be replaced (see Rule 20-1). g c. Repair of Hole Plugs, Ball Marks and Other Damage The player may repair an old hole plug or damage to the putting green caused by the impact of a ball, whether or not the player’s ball lies on the putting green. If a ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved in the process of the repair, the ball or ball-marker must be replaced. There is no penalty, provided the movement of the ball or ball-marker is directly attributable to the specific act of repairing an old hole plug or damage to the putting green caused by the impact of a ball. Otherwise, Rule 18 applies. -
Golf Rule question: Deep-sixed ball ... into the green?
skierbri10 replied to twotacosfor99cents's topic in Golf Talk
As far as I know, as long as it is on the green, you can mark the ball and clean it. If you cannot repair the damage you can place it with in a club length no nearer the hole. Off to look at the rule book......... -

Can't decide on one ball and stick to that one ball... -
Shot 42 for the front nine at Buffalo Run in Colorado. Would have been better if the greens weren't so bad. Worst greens I have ever seen. They aerated them about a month ago but they lost a bunch of good grass. Most of the time I was putting through sand and grass mounds. You would make a great putt and have a good read but when the ball was suppossed to break, it would hop up and to the opposite side. Very frustrating.

BTW I just ordered one from globalgolf.com it was $10. Never ordered anything from them I will see how it is.

Golf - A newb looking for info

Do the wilson's look to be in good condition, what model? 15 years ago Wilson's were some of the best clubs on the market. Do they come with woods? If you do decide to get a beginner set then I would go for a cheaper set that includes a bag and woods. Zevo at Golfsmith are decent. Besides $300 for a set of irons will not get you much unless it is a used set. Think about it also, $300 for irons $100 for a bag $200 for a driver $200 for a 3 wood. You are up to $800 in an instant. The cheap Zevo set is $149 for everything, even a sleeve of balls.... -
How about something like this? http://www.bicycletrailers.com/Burley-Flatbed.pro

Depends, a couple rounds after a tournament I like to have "fun" rounds. Similar when I used to ski race, I would take a few days and just cruise the mountain.
