  1. I think they lie about the actual distance they hit it to try and gain viewers. For example, I was watching and they said Ochoa hit it 330 yards and then I switch to PGA and the guys are hitting 280. C'mon, she weighs 130 lbs, I don't care what her swing speed is she ain't hitting it 330 yards and not further than the Men. On Kanapali they couldn't reach the 200 yard grid with their drivers.
  2. So if Trevor moves to the U.S. has kids and would we call his kids African Americans?
  3. Very politicaly correct answer there and well written but I am afraid you are hiding from the truth. Not many Black Hockey players either huh? Is it because it's not cool? Ever pay for Ice Time? Skates, Pads, etc? No inner City kids are ever gonna get near a hockey helmet or lace up the skates because a pair of sneakers can be had for 10 bux and they can hoop it up all day long and pay NOTHING!
  4. It's all economics, to play hoops all ya need is a pair of sneaks, somebody will have a ball and the playgrounds all have a hoop. Golf is expensive, Hockey is expensive, Skiing is expensive, you get my point.
  5. Big Dog Putter SW 8 iron 5 iron
  6. Range use it what you put into it, if you work on something its great but just rapid fire balls is no good you are wasting your time ingraining a bad swing. I hold my finish till the ball lands on every swing and feel my finish is balanced or laying back or what, and I watch every ball flight to tell what each swing did. I spend half of the bucket on 85 yard shots and in. The rest on tempo and ball flight.
  7. You should get fitted, sounds like too flat to me, 2 degree up might help ya a bunch.
  8. I think you just had your timing off and were rushing the downswing a little.
  9. Why didnt ya say so, get a hybrid.
  10. I play my best at around 10 a.m. tee time. Too early and I am still just getting going 3 holes in. Grab lunch at the turn and I am good and right on schedule. Home eat dinner, perfect. Plus those 6-7 a.m. times throw my bathroom timing off and I hate droppin the morning deuce at the club. Rather my own throne if ya get my drift.
  11. The UA sox feel real good on the dogs, they are worth a little extra.
  12. 280 average at 80 percent swing speed. I can crank it up but not as consitent with the accuracy obviously. Actaully really working on keeping at 80 percent and it is hard to not try and kill driver but I am so much better at 80.
  13. For me, If my backswing starts with shoulder rotation and arms in "one piece" I can turn back thru with the shoulders and just let the arms com thru and hands release. If I start with my hands and arms back then they also start the downswing and I am in trouble, so yeah I like using the big muscles and if I tuck the right elbow and turn the shoulders the power is so much greater. I like to think of it this way, I can lift a ton more weight with my back, shoulders, legs and the arms are weak in comparison. Hence, hitting with my arms is weaker and for me less consistent.
  14. LOL Ashley was about a 5, she needs to shed some lbs. A little piggy look to her.
  15. I hit my O.G. Callaways very well but eventually outgrew them the better I became, now my 695's are absolutely fantastic and better than my old gardening tools. I think to start, lessons would make more impact than the clubs.
  16. To each is own, I hated the Titleist drivers but love the irons, they are amazing, I hate the Callaway ft- Fusions Drivers just cause of the awful (to me) noise they make but love the GBB 2 and hit that better than any driver on the market and it makes a nice solid thud type sound. Like the Taylor Made Driver sound also.
  17. You can do anything you want to do if you put your mind to it and practice hard. Don't listen to anyone telling you different just because they couldn't do it. I will say this and you have heard it all before but practice, practice, practice your short game till you have so much confidence you cant practice it anymore. No matter how good a ball striker you become you will miss some greens and getting up and down will allow you to be scratch plus hitting it close will get ya some birds to cover the bogeys.
  18. The better I get the less I rely on the texas wedge, now I can pick a spot to land it on and use the club that will get it to that spot, before I couldn't chip well and texas wedged it all. Now my short game is much better.
  19. No just an example, most of the big clubmakers send you back new clubs if ya break one. Ping sent me a new G2 no questions asked. Callaway is the best though.
  20. 2 years ago I played in a city flighted tourney and I was a 12. I roped my tee shot 300 down the middle on hole one and parred. On the second tee an old fogie in my group walks up to me and says he never seen a 12 handicapper hit drive like that and he was upset. I was pissed but just said we got 17 holes left, lets talk after the round. Needless to say I played to my 12.
  21. Depends on lie, length, grass etc. diff club
  22. I just got rid of my Callaway Lawn and Garden Tools for some 695cb's
  23. Yeah Kirby skulled like 4 shots from 50 and she couldn't reach the green from 140 in the other game they played cause she doesnt loike her 5 iron?
  24. From Gary Player "The more I practice the better I get" From Ben Hogan " Every day missed practice takes two days to get back" I practice at the range every day, it takes me 2 hours to get thru a bucket. Do not rapid fire, it is useless and you get no results, go thru your routine on each swing.
