  1. Zakiya did a good job on Big Break Academy. She seemed quite relaxed and had a good attitude. Anyone know what putter she used? I didn't recognize it. Looked kind of like an original Ping.
  2. Another vote for Ping Tour-S wedges. They present themselves similar to your G10s (the white line on the lowest groove). They are very good wedges. I have the G10 irons myself. Give them a try!
  3. Anser IN. My first "insert" putter. Different feel, but I like it.
  4. I am using version 2.1.0 (546) some examples from my column sorts: score: 89 after 101 fairways: 100% before 50% first putt: 12.5 before 9.2 etc. (I also posted a comment from the program itself if that helps) Thanks. I am really enjoying the program.
  5. I saw a post from about a year ago about a sorting issue. I didn't see a response and was wondering about it. The sort routine seems to go by the first character regardless of the number of digits (89 sorts after 101...) Any thoughts? Not a big deal, but I have to look at all those large scores first. Thanks
  6. Do you see a common theme here? Water. I have done that myself on more than one occasion. Good round going. Last couple of holes I start worrying about keeping it going. Of course, 18 has water on the left. But I usually fade/slice and of course there is plenty of room on the right. But nooooo. Plunk! We need to get together and ban all water on 18. It's our only hope Obi-wan.
  7. I went from a B61 to a B60. Both nice. Then I tried an Ally 3 (face balanced) for a while. Now I'm working with an old Anser with a long shaft (over 36"). All the others were 35". I haven't strayed much from Ping over the years, but I have on occasion and always come back.
  8. He didn't play well on Friday. Blew up on the back and missed the cut. He started off 1 over - went down and then up to 6 over. He made _some_ pretty impressive shots, though.
  9. The early mixed tournament was the J.C. Penney Classic. Today at the Transitions Tournament they had Eric Estrada (remember the CHiPS guy?) doing a promotion for Transitions. He was in his police uniform giving out "sight"-tations. Great tournament! Plenty of leaders going into Saturday. Anything can happen. I watched Duval today (and his troubles....missed the cut).
  10. You've played some pretty good ones! Try World Woods (2 good public courses) in Brooksville, or Innisbrook Copperhead if you can work it out. Good golfing!
  11. Adding insult to injury, "U" is unsuccessful is BAD is RED! "S" is successful is GOOD is GREEN! .....I have a lot of red..... But I'm working on it!
  12. I looked hard at the MX-25s. They felt very good. I ended up going with the Ping G10s, but it was close. I don't think you'd be disappointed.
  13. Watching them play at Innisbrook Copperhead was interesting. I have worked several tournaments there and know the holes. (I've only _played_ once.) Those holes were not friendly.
  14. Being naturally cynical, here's my thoughts. You are a good customer and the shop wanted to keep you happy, so if there was a difference they decided to "eat it." Both clubs have about an equal resale value, so the shop decided it was an acceptable deal (to keep a customer happy and coming back). The club you chose does not move as fast as the club you traded in. Someone once told me you never get a good deal, just a price you are happy with. Sounds like you got a better club for your play at a "price" you are happy with. Enjoy it! Now raise your right hand and swear that you will never wish you had that club back.
  15. I always tee up on par 3s. I'd tee up every shot if the rules allowed it. Wait a minute - not greens.
  16. Duffy Waldorf lets his kids mark his golf balls. I got a multicolored one from a fall tournament that had a halloween theme. Then again, Duffy is a colorful guy.
  17. I always consider pin placement, shelves on the green, etc., when considering those in-between club lengths. I would rather be short on a front pin placement below the hole than over the back or on top of a shelf. I do generally agree that planning on "hitting it for all I got" can cause problems. Then again, the best laid plans....
  18. Canadian "Loon" dollar or a Mercury-head silver dime.
  19. Like Bill Murray said in "Stripes," "I wanna party with you...."
  20. What is your distance with the 3 hybrid. When do you envision that you need it rather than the 3 iron?
  21. I don't know what time it was, but I remember my Dad and I waiting on the first tee for the sun to come up to the point where we could see. We usually teed off into darkness and found our drives in the dew lines.
  22. alf174, I agree that Lori may be the next to go. And she's gonna go down hard.
  23. My Pings were fitted at standard lie and 1/2 inch longer and they work great for me. Better than the set they replaced. Best advice: Get fit and see.
  24. Every season seems to have the person you "love to hate." Lori is certainly IT for this season. She has made it an art form. I can't believe she did what she did AND I can't believe the "judges" validated her whining. Tonight should have been an entirely different outcome. That being said, I can hardly wait for next week.
  25. You might consider the typical courses you play. If there are a lot of tight lies and hard sand, a lower bounce would be more versatile. Personally, I like a lower bounce. My 60 degree has little higher bounce, for those situations needing it. And when I need it, I usually really need it. That being said, you'll probably be fine with a lower bounce for a more versatile wedge. On the other hand, you could stay out of bunkers
